Job Description CHP is currently initiating a search for a CEI Senior Roadway Inspector for our CEI projects in Southeast Florida. Responsibilities • Monitoring on-site construction activities, • Inspecting materials in accordance with clients scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions). Transporting samples to be tested in a Department laboratory or appropriate facility, • Maintaining detailed accurate records of daily operations and significant events. Fulfilling other duties as needed., • Preparing inspection reports, • Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control (in accordance with the client"s requirements), • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct., • Responsible for managing subordinate inspection staff and delegating responsibilities, as well as training/teaching them., • High School Diploma., • Minimum of 5 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience., • Valid state driver’s license., • Highly familiar with construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, process, methods and techniques., • Highly familiar with relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements., • Sound interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience., • Sound self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment., • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, and comply with company policies., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives., • Analytical mindset to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions., • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, spreadsheets, and tools., • Ability to provide input and feedback to others in the field such as subcontractors and work colleagues to consistently complete tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately according to specifications., • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies., • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek., • Associate’s Degree in closely related discipline is preferred., • Essential professional licensure/certifications, • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I, • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level II, • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level II, • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures), • CTQP Final Estimates Level I, • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I, • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification, • Required Education: High School Diploma / GED, • Minimum Years Experience: 5 years Salary: $66,560.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Professional development assistance, • Referral program Schedule: • 8 hour shift, • Night shift, • Overtime, • Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: • Bonus pay, • Signing bonus Experience: • FDOT CEI: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: • Driver's License (Required), • Engineer In Training (Preferred), • Professional Engineer (Preferred) Work Location: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach
