Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician / Handyman (Commercial Property) Location: Miami, FL Schedule: Coverage between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday (Two-person team; each works 30–35 hours/week with overlapping coverage) Compensation: Competitive; based on experience and skill set About the Role We are seeking a dependable, experienced Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support the daily upkeep of a 200,000 sq. ft. commercial property complex in Miami, FL. This role focuses on routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general building support across multiple trades. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded maintenance professional comfortable handling day-to-day issues including electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and basic HVAC maintenance and minor repairs. The role may be filled by one full-time technician or two part-time technicians with overlapping schedules to ensure continuous on-site coverage during business hours. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems, including: • Drywall patching, painting, and touch-ups, • Replacing light switches, outlets, and light fixtures, • Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, faucets, toilets, valves), • Minor carpentry and hardware repairs (doors, cabinets, locks), • Basic HVAC maintenance and minor repairs (filter changes, belts, vents, simple troubleshooting)Additional responsibilities:, • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property management, • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues proactively, • Coordinate with vendors for repairs beyond in-house scope, • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment, • Communicate clearly regarding work status and schedulingRequirements, • 3+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience, • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance, • Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs independently, • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for tenant and vendor communication, • Strong reliability, professionalism, and customer-service skills, • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor, • Familiarity with property management software, • Authorized to work in the U.S. zhzoxHG20H
