With multiple locations in development, the company is building a scalable platform at the intersection of grocery, prepared food, wellness, and culture. Role Summary The Hot Bar Associate is the face of our prepared foods program. You build Combo Plates, keep the hot bar full, hot, and beautiful, and guide guests through proteins, sides, and ingredients with confidence. The role blends front-of-house hospitality with back-of-house precision: speed and warmth on the line, exact portions and food safety behind it. Key Responsibilities Guest Service • Greet every guest within seconds and guide them through Combo Plates, proteins, sides, and pricing., • Answer ingredient and allergen questions accurately using posted allergen cards; escalate anything uncertain to a lead or chef., • Read the line and keep it moving during peak lunch and dinner rushes without losing warmth., • Recover service issues on the spot and loop in a manager when needed. Plating and Portioning • Build Combo Plates to spec: one 6oz protein plus two sides at 4–6oz each, roughly 1lb total., • Weigh extra sides separately in the correct containers; never mix items., • Label, price, and ring items correctly so every package scans cleanly at the POS., • Present every plate as if it were going in a photo. Hot Bar Expo and Upkeep • Act as expo between kitchen and line: call pans before they run low and coordinate fresh batches with the culinary team., • Keep wells full, hot, clean, and visually abundant; wipe rims, swap utensils, and face signage throughout the shift., • Take and log hot-holding temperatures on schedule; pull product that misses time or temperature standards., • Record waste and pulled product accurately for shrink tracking. Food Safety and Opening/closing • Follow FIFO, labeling, date-code, and allergen-separation standards at all times., • Complete opening setup and closing breakdown, including cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking containers and supplies., • Support catering and delivery orders when assigned, packing to spec and on time., • Take on other duties as assigned by leadership. Preferred Experience and Qualifications Preferred Experience • 2–4 years in serving, expo, bartending, or a comparable high-volume guest-facing role., • A track record of high-level customer service in a premium or upscale setting., • Strong attention to detail in portioning, presentation, labeling, and cleanliness., • Expo or line experience coordinating timing between kitchen and guests. Qualifications • Florida Food Handler certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire., • Comfortable with a POS and digital scale; Vori experience a plus., • Clear, friendly communicator who stays composed during rushes., • Reliable, punctual, and coachable; takes ownership of the station., • Genuine interest in clean eating, organic food, or wellness is a strong plus., • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus., • Must be 18 or older. Physical Requirements and Work Environment • Stand and walk for shifts of 8 hours or more., • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs, including full hotel pans and supply cases., • Work safely around hot equipment, steam wells, and sharp utensils., • Bend, reach, and move quickly in a fast-paced retail kitchen and service line., • Follow uniform, hair-restraint, and glove standards.
