From product descriptions and storytelling to digital campaigns and educational materials, you will be responsible for shaping the voice of our brands. Position Overview The Cannabis Copywriter will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling, accurate, and engaging written content that effectively communicates the unique qualities and benefits of cannabis, hemp, and kratom products. This position requires a deep understanding of the cannabis and hemp industry, including regulatory considerations, to ensure all content is compliant, accurate and informative. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the marketing, product development, and compliance teams to develop content that resonates with diverse audiences while maintaining brand voice and integrity. The role demands creativity and precision to translate complex information into clear, persuasive copy that drives customer engagement and supports business growth. Ultimately, the Cannabis Copywriter will help shape the brand narrative and elevate the company’s presence in a competitive and evolving market. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and write clear, persuasive, and original copy for various platforms including websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, product descriptions, and advertising materials. * Research and stay up to date on cannabis industry trends, regulations, and consumer preferences to ensure content accuracy and relevance. * Collaborate with marketing, legal, and product teams to ensure all content complies with local and federal cannabis advertising laws and company policies. * Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and brand voice across all communications. * Analyze content performance metrics and incorporate feedback to optimize future copy and improve audience engagement. Skills: The Cannabis Copywriter uses their writing and research skills to create engaging and compliant content that educates and persuades target audiences. Strong communication skills enable effective collaboration with marketing, legal, and product teams to ensure messaging aligns with brand standards and regulatory requirements. Attention to detail is critical when editing and proofreading to maintain accuracy and consistency across all materials. Analytical skills are applied to interpret content performance data, guiding continuous improvement of copy effectiveness. Additionally, creativity and adaptability are essential to tailor messaging for diverse platforms and evolving industry trends. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. * Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably with at least 2 years in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated sector. * Strong understanding of cannabis products, terminology, and industry regulations. * Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with SEO best practices and content management systems. * Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and analytics tools. * Background in creative writing or advertising. * Knowledge of state and federal cannabis laws and compliance requirements. * Experience working in a cross-functional team environment. Schedule: * 8 hours per day during normal business hours * On-Site, Open to hybrid schedule after 90 days Requirements: * Must be authorized to work in the United States * Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle * Must be willing to travel and work out of our Miami office during the first quarter * Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and other required confidentiality forms and agreements * Must pass a background screening Locations: Miami, FL Compensation & Benefits * Competitive salary $75,000 – $85,000, depending on experience and certifications. * Comprehensive benefits package: including health insurance, dental and vision currently voluntary, employee-paid plan (no employer contributions), starting November 2025 employers will increase contributions to 50%. * 20 days paid time off, and retirement options - 401 (k) match of 4% * Career growth opportunities in a supportive and innovative company.
