Job DescriptionDescription: Job Title: Material Handler / Class A CDL Driver Rotation between two positions. MUST BE BILINGUAL IN SPANISH. Reports To: Logistics Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Hourly Position Summary: This hybrid position is intended to provide flexible support for both warehouse operations and local delivery routes. The employee will safely receive, store, and distribute materials within the warehouse, and will adjust schedules as needed to operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer for local deliveries based on business requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Warehouse Operations • Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine material movement., • Receive, unpack, inspect, and verify incoming materials., • Convey, sort, and stage materials on racks, shelves, or floors using forklift and manual handling., • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy., • Coordinate daily activities with warehouse leadership and office teams; cross-train across warehouse functions., • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reporting discrepancies., • Operate a Class A CDL vehicle on local routes, delivering sheets, glass boxes, and other products to customer job sites., • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any defects or maintenance needs., • Secure cargo using appropriate load-securing equipment (ropes, chains, tarps)., • Load and unload products safely, using truck liftgates, forklift, and hand tools as needed., • Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, miles driven, and vehicle service per DOT and company policy., • Collect delivery confirmations and signatures; communicate delivery exceptions promptly., • Warehouse Safety: Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection. Adhere to lockout/tagout, machine-guarding, and pedestrian/vehicle separation protocols., • Driving Safety: Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company driving policies, and traffic laws. Maintain a valid Class A CDL at all times., • Education: High school diploma or equivalent., • Licenses/Certifications:, • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)., • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)., • Experience:, • Minimum of 18-24 month of tractor-trailer driving experience., • Bilingual In Spanish, • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping., • Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment., • Excellent time management and route-planning capabilities., • Effective verbal and written communication for customer interactions and team coordination., • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance or mechanical aid., • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods in moderate to high-noise warehouse and roadway environments., • Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and vehicular traffic.
