About the Role We’re looking for multiple highly motivated and experienced Nuclear/Heavy Metal Crane Service Technicians (Levels 1–4) to join our growing team. This position is for Service Technicians specializing in the inspection, maintenance, and installation of overhead cranes and hoists within Nuclear and Heavy Metal environments. Team members in this role should anticipate spending more than 50% of their working hours in these potentially hazardous settings. Typical work locations include nuclear power plants, Navy and military facilities, heavy metal mines, processing plants, and smelting operations. Nationwide travel is required for this position. You’ll report to our Branch Service Supervisor while enjoying autonomy in the field and dispatching directly from home. ⭐ Why YorkHoist? Schedule & Travel ???? What You'll Do • Perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on cranes, hoists, lifts, and rigging equipment. Specializing in nuclear and heavy metal environments., • Lead and support equipment installations, • Conduct thorough OSHA/MSHA frequent and periodic inspections, • Work hands-on with a team on-site or independently in the field, • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to coordinate jobs, • Log time, parts, and reports using Fulcrum (iPhone app), • Be part of our 24/7 on-call rotation (primary & secondary), • Identify project opportunities and log leads for the sales team, • Promote and embody our "safety-first" and "unmatched client service” mindsets ✅ Your Experience & Skills • Electrical, mechanical, and rigging experience required, • Past nuclear and/or heavy metal environment experience preferred, • Must be able to pass background checks that are required to gain access to nuclear power plants and secure government facilities, • Maintain valid identification accepted by federal government facilities, • Valid driver’s license (no more than 2 current moving violations), • Able to lift/move 80 lbs. and work at heights or in confined spaces, • Comfortable with fast-paced, client-driven field service work, • Comfortable and able to comply with ongoing health screening which can include but is not limited to physicals, skin swabs, and blood testing, • Bonus points (and ????) for:, • Crane Operator Certification (NCCCO), • Structural Welding Certification, • Certified Electrician, • Certified Rigger, • NDT Certification, • Hydraulic Experience, • MSHA Part 46, • MSHA Part 48, • OSHA 10, • OSHA 30, • Prior Supervisor or Leadership Experience YorkHoist is more than a workplace.
