Job DescriptionDescription: VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the daily functions of the HR department and serve as a versatile resource to managers, employees, and leadership. This role will touch all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll/benefits administration, engagement programs, and culture-building initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, growing company environment. Responsibilities: • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments (e.g., safety training, anti-harassment, licensure, and certifications)., • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings., • Oversee background checks and employee eligibility verification processes., • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs., • Perform tasks to administer and execute HR programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; morale and recognition; occupational health and safety; and training and development., • Assist with payroll processing, employee timekeeping, and HRIS data accuracy., • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff., • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations., • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies and practices to ensure compliance., • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company culture activities., • Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technologies in human resources and employment law., • Flexibility to support any HR-related initiative as needed, including special projects, reporting, and ad-hoc employee support. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required., • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred., • SHRM-CP certification a plus., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Strong time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines., • Analytical and problem-solving skills., • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality., • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations., • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software., • Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, HRIS and talent management systems. Physical Requirements: • Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently., • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time., • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
