Job DescriptionSalary: DOE Forward Slash Technology is a St. Louis-based provider of Cyber Security, Managed Services, and Information Technology solutions. The Office Manager / Human Resources Manager at Forward Slash Technology is responsible for overseeing daily office operations of currently 20-30 employees and managing all human resource functions. This role ensures the organization runs efficiently; employees are supported and compliant, and internal processes align with company goals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, people-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical services environment. Reports to: Executive Leadership KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Human Resources (Primary Focus) • Own and manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, • Ensure timely completion of documentation, access coordination, and policy acknowledgements, • Maintain employee records and personnel files, • Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, etc.), • Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for employee relations, questions, and concerns, escalating issues to leadership as appropriate, • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, • Develop, update, and enforce employee handbook policies and procedures, • Periodically audit HR, PTO, and policy processes to ensure compliance and consistency, • Recommend updates as regulations or company needs evolve, • Coordinate performance review processes and assist leadership with corrective actions, • Manage timekeeping, PTO tracking, and leave administration, • Support training, professional development, and certification tracking, • Oversee employee relations; implement employee improvement plans, disciplinary and/or termination processes, • Handle sensitive employee, compensation, and company information with strict confidentiality Office Management & Operations • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and professionalism, • Manage office supplies, equipment, vendors, and facility needs, • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and internal communications, • Support leadership with administrative tasks and reporting, • Assist with payroll preparation and coordination with external payroll providers, • Maintain internal documentation, templates, and standard operating procedures related to HR and office operations, • Ensure clarity and consistency in internal communications Culture & Employee Engagement • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture, • Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives and team events, • Act as a trusted liaison between employees and leadership, • Support initiatives that improve employee retention and satisfaction Qualifications & Skills • 3+ years of experience in office management and/or human resources, • Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP), IT services, or technical environment preferred, • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law compliance, • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, • High level of discretion and confidentiality, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/Payroll platform software, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, • Experience in a small or midsized organization, • Comfort working in a growing or evolving role, • Ability to balance peoples needs with business requirements Preferred Qualifications • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar), • Experience supporting a growing or scaling organization, • Familiarity with MSP operations, billing cycles, or service teams, • Serve as system owner for HR platforms (e.g., HRIS, payroll, timekeeping systems), • Ensure data accuracy across HR, payroll, and compliance systems or external management provider, • Manage employee lifecycle workflows within HR systems (hire, change, terminate) Mandatory Requirements To maintain employment with Forward Slash Technology, all employees must meet the following requirements. • Pass a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) and federal fingerprint-based background check, • Successfully complete Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) training and certification, • Be a U.S. citizen residing in the St Louis Metropolitan area, • Hold a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record, • Pass random drug testsas required This is a full-time, onsite position based in our St Louis, MO office.
