Job Description AWCT is hiring a full time Regional Recruiter for our Kansas City location. This position will handle all the recruiting efforts for AWCT in the Midwest. Summary The AWCT Recruiter is responsible for managing full cycle recruiting across multiple locations, partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire top talent that supports the company's operational and cultural goals. This role involves proposing sourcing and recruitment strategies, initiatives, and processes that leverage networking opportunities, while carefully monitoring program costs. The Regional Recruiter provides recommendations for process improvements to the Regional HR Manager and/or hiring managers. Develops targeted local recruiting plans, employing both traditional and innovative sourcing methodologies, and considering creative approaches to talent acquisition. The Regional Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring the selection of the highest quality qualified candidates within designated geographical areas. AWCT is family-owned and operated. The Regional Recruiter supports the sourcing and promotion of applicants who embrace these vision, mission, and values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Establishes recruiting requirements by assessing facility staffing levels and objectives; collaborates with managers to identify needs., • Builds applicant pipelines by researching and engaging with community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and online job sites; communicates organizational information, opportunities, and benefits; delivers presentations and maintains strong professional relationships., • Determines applicant qualifications through analysis or revision of job descriptions and job analyses in consultation with hiring managers, Terminal Managers, and Regional HR Manager., • Attracts candidates by posting job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and utilizing newsgroups and job boards., • Assesses suitability for applicants by conducting interviews, evaluating responses, and comparing qualifications against job requirements., • Coordinates management interviews by scheduling and aligning stakeholders' calendars., • Evaluates applicants in collaboration with managers, ensuring consistent application of qualification criteria., • Monitors offers to ensure alignment with staffing levels, emphasizing benefits and perks., • Manages facility employment programs by conducting orientations and coordinating schedules., • Leads the creation of recruitment and interview plans for each open position., • Conducts regular follow-up with managers to assess recruiting plan effectiveness and implementation., • Coordinates onboarding processes, including offer extension, pre-employment testing, on-site support, background checks, and orientation with hiring managers., • Posts job openings in newspapers, with professional organizations, and other appropriate venues., • Utilizes the company's Applicant Tracking System for all recruitment efforts., • Conducts phone screens and/or in-person interviews to determine candidate suitability according to company hiring policies., • Acts as a liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies; processes and verifies agency billings, tracks authorized positions within the corporation, handles employment verifications, and manages the employee referral program., • Hosts and completes weekly employment activity reports to present to Terminal Managers., • Processes new hire background checks, monitors their status, and forwards results for approval., • Attend company staffing calls to assess the support needed and progress to fill positions., • Processes billing invoices for background check vendors, codes expenses to correct locations, and submits payments., • Supports public relations efforts to establish and maintain the company's reputation as an "employer of choice," both internally and externally, highlighting benefits and perks., • Maintains regular communication with managers and employees to foster relationships, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads. Working Conditions • This position follows a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with in-office presence. The schedule may be adjusted at management's discretion., • Work is primarily sedentary, with routine walking within and around facilities as needed., • Regular overnight travel may be required, which may involve transportation by car, train, or airplane., • During travel and facility visits, the role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and occasional physical environments such as production areas or shuttle transportation., • Limited exposure to office-related materials (e.g., copier toner) and facility-related elements (e.g., gasoline) may occur. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field is preferred, • 5-8 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a multi-location environment., • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to posting and interviewing processes., • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels., • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; ability to learn additional HR systems as needed., • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance day-to-day responsibilities with longer-term projects., • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in candidate documentation, communications, and data entry., • Willingness and ability to travel frequently by car, train, or airplane to remote locations., • Flexibility to adjust work schedule as business needs require., • Results-driven with the ability to balance business priorities and associate needs.
