Job Description Job Posting: Senior Employer Services Administrator Saturna Capital is seeking a Senior level Employer Services Administrator to focus on Employer-sponsored retirement accounts – specifically 401(k) plans. The Senior Plan Administrator position will serve as a team specialist for both Employer-sponsored retirement accounts (e.g., 401(k) Plans, Cash Balance Plans) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). This position will assist the Employer Services team problem solve complex operations, recordkeeping, and fund accounting issues. A strong understanding of ERISA plans and HSA plans is required as this position will also assist in researching and resolving client issues related to the laws that regulate each employer-based product. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is team-oriented yet can work independently, detail-oriented and has great customer service skills. In this role, you will provide in-depth product, industry, and best business practices knowledge in the Employer Plans industry. Location: Henderson, NV Compensation: Hiring wage range: $33.44 - $48.05 per hour Hiring rate will depend on qualifications and experience Primary duties include: • Possess the confidence to provide superior customer service support for client escalations, especially for larger premium clients, • Act as department resource for correcting recordkeeping and plan administration issues for existing clients, • Assist department with processing transactions originating from 401(k) employer payroll contributions when required, • Assist department with account maintenance forms and transactions originating from participant exchanges, distributions, and loan requests, • Reconciliation of 401(k) account balances, • Assist department with IRS and Department of Labor tax reporting and audits, • Develop and recommend improvements to workflows and procedures to increase efficiency and client satisfaction, • Address customer inquiries and provide best practice guidelines for customization when appropriate, • Creatively and proactively problem-solve, adhering to all regulatory requirements, • Work with other functional groups (e.g., development teams, applications analysis, technical support, etc.) to deliver existing functionality or new application enhancements for customers, • Partner with other team members to help train on new capabilities, • Proactively keep Team Manager informed of key activities with assigned clients & advisors, • Maintain a thorough knowledge of investments as they relate to qualified retirement plans and HSA plans, as well as regulatory issues relating to retirement benefits and the retirement industry., • Stay current and knowledgeable on Saturna’s products and services, and how they measure vs industry competition, • Complete routine weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables, to both internal and external clients, • Educate plan sponsors on fiduciary responsibilities & support them through correction efforts, when needed, • Lead the annual compliance & form 5500 responsibilities for applicable plans Position Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, • At least three years of experience working with 401(k) plans and be familiar with any 401(k) Administration software, • Ability to apply existing understanding of ERISA plans and HSA plans with a strong desire to deepen that knowledge base to support Saturna’s Employer Plan Sponsors, • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as a strong sense of urgency and accountability; results orientation, • Must have access to reliable internet connection when working outside of the office, • Computer proficiency – experience with Apple products is a plus, ability to master employer plan recordkeeping systems within 3 months is required, • Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills; excellent accuracy and attention to detail, • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively, • Hold or obtain FINRA SIE, 7 and 63/66 within the first 9 months of employment, • Hold or obtain ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals Certificate, or equivalent industry certification within first year, • Candidates must successfully complete pre-employment requirements such as a logic test, background and credit check, drug screening and reference check.
