As an Armed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community. This is a flexible, as-needed armed security officer position covering three different critical sites. Officers will be assigned based on operational needs, with an anticipated schedule anytime between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Monday through Sunday. Two of the sites have strict grooming standards, including clean-shaven or deputy-style grooming, and applicants must be willing to comply. Critical Roles of the Position: All armed security officers in this role are expected to perform these essential duties on a consistent basis throughout the duration of their assigned shifts. • Community Relations: Build positive interactions with courthouse visitors, staff, and law enforcement to foster a safe and respectful environment., • Work X-ray Machine: Operate and monitor X-ray screening equipment to ensure the safe entry of packages and personal items., • Metal Detector Wanding: Conduct handheld metal detector screenings on individuals in accordance with courthouse safety protocols., • Work Well with a Team or Solo: Perform duties effectively both independently and as part of a security team., • Communicate Effectively: Clearly and professionally convey information to colleagues, visitors, and law enforcement personnel., • Situational Awareness: Maintain constant vigilance to identify potential threats or security concerns., • Professional Appearance: Present a neat and professional appearance consistent with courthouse standards., • Flexibility with Job Site Locations: Adapt to different work locations within the courthouse as needed. Mandatory Requirements: • Pistol Qualification: Must successfully qualify and maintain proficiency with a service pistol in accordance with agency standards., • CJIS Certification and Colorado Background Check: Required to hold a current CJIS certification and successfully complete a Colorado background investigation., • Pass a Urinalysis: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, including a negative result for marijuana., • Fingerprints Processed by the LC Sheriff’s Office: Required to submit fingerprints for processing and verification through the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office., • Clean-Shaven Appearance: Must maintain a clean-shaven face in accordance with site grooming requirements., • LC Sheriff’s Office Grooming Standards: Must comply with Larimer County Sheriff’s Office grooming and appearance standards at applicable sites. Requirements: Requirements: • 21 years of age or older, • high school diploma or GED, • pass required background check, • eligible to legally use a firearm, • previous firearm experience, • able to work the posted hours without modification, • able to work overnights long term, • able to train and become certified to use an approved firearm, • able to use/maintain/operate/manipulate firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear, • able to stand for up to eight hours at a time, • able to sit frequently throughout your shift, • able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course, • able to walk around and up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift, • able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted, • able to wear issued gear belt for the entire duration of your assigned shift
