Microsoft Fabric Data Architect/Lead About the job: We are looking for a Microsoft Fabric Data Architect/Lead to join our Kansas City team. What you will do at Sogeti: • Provide technical design and thought leadership for Microsoft Fabric data and analytics modernization engagements, • Lead discovery sessions to define solution design, migration and modernization strategy, • Design and architect solutions utilizing Fabric services - Lakehouse, warehouse, Semantic Layer, Power BI services with supporting security services, • Craft high-quality diagrams and documents to communicate thoroughness of vision for data architecture security of proposed data solutions, • Lead the development of Fabric platform and execution of data migration from legacy data platform to Fabric, • Participate in code reviews and review work from other members of the project teams for completeness and quality, • Understand a broad spectrum of technologies in order to provide detailed technical design which meets customer requirements, • Communicate across client's community - consistently viewed as adding value, • Serve as a technical leader and mentor What you will bring: • 10+ years of enterprise data and analytics architecture and solution delivery experience, • 5+ years delivering enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform and 3+ years in Fabric, • Must be experienced in conducting current state discovery and defining migration strategy and roadmap for Fabric projects, • Must have End to End Fabric Data Platform Architecture design and Lakehouse Modernization Strategy definition and implementation Expertise, • Must have experience working with rest of the Azure data estate including ADLS Gen2, ADF and Synapse and experience in migrating these workloads to Fabric, • Must have experience using SQL, Python, PySpark, • EPC domain expertise, • Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Architect and Azure data engineer certification, • Experience in design and build Modern data pipelines and maintain data warehouse schematics layouts architectures and relational non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics, • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience would be helpful, • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, • Sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the design and scope of deliverables within a field of expertise, • Ability to communicate and present complex issues with preciseness, assurance and confidence, • Passion for technology and a high technical aptitude, • Self-sufficient, high integrity, more than just competent, • Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencing, • Ability to conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with clients - serve as primary point of contact for customers including issue escalation, new feature requests, and occasionally complaints, • Owns and produces customer documentation. Ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form, • Ability to translate requirements from client meetings into requirements documents and proposal presentations Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission.
