Job Description Role and Responsibilities Operations Management • Assist the GM in the day-to-day restaurant operations including service flow, cleanliness, prep levels, and opening/closing duties., • Oversee execution of all third-party delivery (Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.), takeout, and online ordering platforms., • Ensure smooth integration of self-ordering kiosks and online systems with kitchen production and pickup., • Maintain high food quality, accuracy, and packaging standards for all off-premise orders., • Monitor inventory levels, manage food cost, control waste, and oversee COGS., • Oversee commissary prep and ensure consistent availability of products to support daily service. Leadership & Team Management • Assist with the hiring, training, and managing a team of cross-trained kitchen staff who execute cooking and beverage production., • Build a positive team culture rooted in accountability, communication, and pride in execution., • Create and manage staff schedules to match demand while staying within labor budgets., • Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing performance feedback to staff. Guest Experience & Brand Execution • Ensure consistent, high-quality food and beverage output across in-house, takeout, and delivery channels., • Quickly address and resolve any guest issues, order inaccuracies, or tech malfunctions., • Ensure seamless user experience across self-ordering kiosks, mobile, and delivery platforms., • Monitor customer feedback and online reviews to improve service and product. Compliance & Reporting • Maintain compliance with all local health, food safety, and labor regulations., • Track and report key metrics such as food cost, labor cost, delivery performance, and guest satisfaction., • Maintain accurate logs for sanitation, temperature checks, and equipment maintenance., • Other tasks as specified by chef/owner Desired Skills & experience: • 3–5 years of kitchen experience with the ability to execute every station confidently., • Leadership: 2+ years of restaurant management experience, including scheduling, hiring, and training., • Operational Knowledge: Deep understanding of kitchen systems, production workflows, food safety, inventory management, and delivery logistics., • Tech Savvy: Proficient with self-ordering kiosk systems, online ordering platforms, and 3rd-party delivery management., • Problem Solver: Strong situational awareness and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent Communication: Able to clearly communicate with staff, vendors, and support teams., • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends Benefits/Perks: • Medical Insurance, • Dental Insurance, • Vision Insurance, • Supplemental Insurance, • 401k, • Pet Insurance, • Flexible Paid Time Off, • Team member dining discounts, • Employee Entertainment Discounts Working Conditions & Physical Demands: • Restaurant is equipped with ventilated air conditioning, • Noise level is moderate to high, • Temperatures vary from hot to cold, • Floors may be slippery due to the nature of the business, • Able to stand for 2-4 hours at a time, • Able to reach overhead & outwards, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and squat, • Able to lift, push, carry and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds or less Happies Hand Made is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
