Job Description Emerald, a leader in building dynamic market platforms that integrate live events and media, seeks a Sales Compensation & Operations VP to lead the strategic development and administration of our Sales Incentive process and also our Sales Operations organization. This role will also be key to designing, coordinating, planning, and execution of sales incentive plans, and compensation-related research, data analysis, and reporting. This role will also oversee our CRM management, sales enablement tech stack and help drive the Company’s sales optimization strategy. This role will work cross-functionally with several teams including Finance, Sales, People & Culture and commercial leaders to ensure the efficacy and accuracy of sales incentive plans. In addition, the ideal candidate will need to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve incentive compensation-related issues. This role has the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our sales organization by driving and improving our sales incentive rewards and process. To best support a large portfolio of brands at Emerald, our team needs someone proactive who can anticipate the needs of the sales organization and senior leaders. Responsibilities: • Sales Compensation, • Administer sales compensation plans in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely performance calculations and sales compensation payouts, • Optimize the sales compensation processes, systems, reporting and best practices, • Provide monthly accruals for incentive compensation earned in that period., • Submit payments on a bi-weekly basis for incentive compensation earned and ready to be paid., • Partner with management team to maintain and deploy worldwide yearly compensation plans, and ensure timely acceptance of annual compensation plans, • Track compensation plan results and analyze sales compensation plan effectiveness in achieving business goals/strategy, • Present plan modifications to improve seller incentives and simplify administration., • Supervise a Sales Compensation Analyst in the preparation of payment calculations, • Conduct monthly and quarterly analyses to measure compensation plan performance including variance to budget, correlation between result and payouts by individual contributor and by manager, • Ensure delivery of on time reporting and payments to sellers, • Own the internal budget and reforecasts for sales compensation across the business, • Run and validate all sales performance reporting including President’s Club rankings, • Sales Operations, • Oversee the internal CRM (Salesforce and HubSpot) admin personnel to ensure adequate processes for sales efficiency and data integrity, • Serve as the primary vendor contact for all sales technology platforms (including, but not limited to, Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator), • Play a key role in the integration of data and processes for all newly acquired businesses, • Review outputs of all sales reporting tools for accuracy and provide insights to business leaders based on the sales reporting, • Serve as the liaison between key sales stakeholders and IT in the implementation or improvement of all sales tech and reporting REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree required, • 5-10 years of analytical experience focused on sales compensation plans, • Experience with Salesforce and technology implementation project management, • Analytical, modeling, and data management skills, • Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights, • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel ABOUT EMERALD Emerald’s talented and experienced teams grow our customers’ businesses 365 days a year with products that create connections, deliver content, and drive commerce. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Target Compensation: $215,000-230,000 (bonus eligible) Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
