Summary: A Retail Sales Merchandiser at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Sales team supporting the merchandising of company products and ensuring excellent execution. This position involves setting up displays and promotional materials, obtaining orders, and making store calls is ideal for someone who has strong communication skills, detail orientated, and is a problem solver. Key Responsibilities • Sales Planning and Coordination, • Support Sales Representatives in crafting sales strategies to identify and capitalize on opportunities for increased revenue., • Process sales orders accurately and promptly using price lists and product literature., • Compile and manage forecast orders for upcoming seasonal launches., • Maintain records and generate weekly Store Sales Call Reports to monitor sales performance and merchandising efforts., • Merchandising and Promotion, • Implement promotional activities to enhance product visibility and drive sales, collaborating closely with the sales department., • Enhance item sales by deploying weekly product Point of Sale (POS) materials, ensuring their placement on shelves and displays., • Provide sales forecast estimates for upcoming advertising items to facilitate effective inventory management and planning., • Customer Relationship Management, • Cultivate and nurture robust customer relationships with key stakeholders within stores to ensure satisfaction and loyalty., • Engage with brokers and vendors to facilitate communication and collaboration regarding retail products., • Address customer complaints by investigating issues, devising effective solutions, and providing recommendations to management for resolution., • Inventory Management and Market Analysis, • Guarantee precise and prompt setup of products to maintain efficiency and meet customer demands., • Supervise the disposal of obsolete and surplus products to optimize inventory management., • Stay informed about market trends and product innovations and maintain historical records on area and customer sales items., • Required, • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), • 3 years of experience in perishable food merchandising, • Preferred, • 3 years of store-level retail sales experience in the Meat and/or Seafood department, • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time, • Constantly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear., • Regularly required to stand, walk; sit and reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds., • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift, and/or move up to 50 pounds., • Capable of occasional travel as required by duties, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in diverse locations., • Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and printer., • Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions.
