Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist – Lymphedema to join our Physical Therapy Service Line, providing specialized care in lymphedema management, post-surgical rehabilitation, and general orthopedic and neurologic therapy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients with lymphedema, post-surgical edema, venous insufficiency, and general orthopedic or neurologic conditions., • Perform limb volume, girth measurements, and assess skin integrity, fibrosis, and functional limitations., • Identify patient goals and develop individualized plans of care consistent with diagnosis, physician orders, and evidence-based practice., • Instructs patients on Manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging, exercise, and skin care education., • Make recommendations for compression garments and educate on proper use and maintenance., • Deliver general physical therapy interventions such as therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, manual therapy, and modalities to improve function and mobility., • Modify treatment plans based on patient progress, tolerance, and clinical findings., • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on self-management techniques for lymphedema, home exercise program, compression, and skin hygiene., • Provide instruction on injury prevention, activity modification, and home exercise programs for general physical therapy patients., • Complete accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes daily treatment notes and discharge summaries in accordance with hospital and payer requirements., • Ensure compliance with professional, state, and federal regulations including HIPAA and infection control standards., • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to coordinate care participate in any interdisciplinary case reviews and quality improvement initiatives related to lymphedema and physical therapy services., • Stay current with advances in lymphedema management and rehabilitation through continuing education and professional development., • Assist with ordering supplies. Qualifications: • Possession of a license and current registration to practice Physical Therapy at time of hire and maintenance throughout duration of employment., • Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within sixty (60) days of appointment and maintenance throughout duration of employment., • Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or similar certification, • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other healthcare technology, • Critical thinking, time management, strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to handle various clinical situations. • The pay range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant at the time of posting. When determining pay, several factors will be considered including but not limited to location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.
