The New Jersey Route Driver is responsible for providing efficient and safe delivery of boxes to our customers within the NJ Area. A driver operates a refrigerated truck and also operates a hand truck to assist when making deliveries. Our drivers deliver orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time. They are expected to provide professional customer service and timely reporting to supervisors and assigned dispatchers regarding lateness, damaged or missing products. Maid Marines hires W-2 employees to clean homes and occasionally small offices throughout New York City. We provide the clients, cleaning supplies, equipment, uniforms and office support you need to succeed. What You Get • Weekly pay every Friday by direct deposit or check, • Starting base pay of $17–$19 per hour, plus tips, • Many of our established cleaners with steady routes average approximately $25–$30 per hour in total earnings, including base pay and tips, • You keep 100% of the tips you receive from clients, • Paid travel time between jobs, • MTA reimbursement for required subway and bus travel between jobs, • A weekly hours guarantee when you maintain the required availability and accept assigned jobs, • Overtime pay at 1.5 times your regular rate., • Premium pay when you work designated major holidays Tips and total earnings vary based on your schedule, routes and clients and are not guaranteed. Benefits • Up to 56 hours of paid safe and sick leave per year, beginning to accrue on your first day, • Paid vacation that increases the longer you stay with Maid Marines, • Paid prenatal leave, • New York Paid Family Leave for eligible employees, • Paid jury duty leave under company policy Your Schedule • You tell us which weekdays and weekend days you are available to work, • We build your routes within your agreed availability, • You can start part-time and open additional days when you want more hours, • Weekend availability, dependable attendance and strong client ratings can help you receive priority for better routes and additional hours, • Your schedule and job information are managed through our worker system, • We provide all required cleaning supplies, equipment and uniforms What You’ll Do • Clean homes and occasionally small offices according to Maid Marines standards, • Follow the cleaning checklist for each appointment, • Check in and out of each job using your phone, • Treat every client and home with respect, • Communicate with the office immediately if you are running late or something changes, • Report damages, safety concerns or unusual conditions promptly, • Travel between assigned jobs using the subway or bus Who This Position Is For You may be a great fit if: • You are extremely reliable and arrive on time, • Former clients or managers would describe you as one of the most dependable cleaners they have worked with, • You take pride in doing detailed, high-quality work, • You are comfortable following cleaning checklists and receiving feedback, • You communicate quickly when a problem or delay occurs, • You are comfortable traveling between jobs by subway and bus, • You are legally authorized to work in the United States, • You have a working phone House-cleaning experience is helpful, but it is not required. We train reliable people with the right attitude and work ethic. A car is not required. English is not required. Our employee-support team communicates in both English and Spanish. Applicants who speak other languages are also welcome, and additional language assistance may be available. This position will not be a good fit for someone who is regularly late, frequently cancels assignments at the last minute or does not want to follow cleaning checklists and company procedures.
