About the Role As a Founding Software Engineer at Ryvn, you’ll design and build distributed systems that transform how organizations deploy and manage software at scale. You’ll work across the stack — from core platform services and APIs to performance optimization and developer experience — owning problems end-to-end and shipping code that runs in production environments across healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. You’ll work side-by-side with the founders to shape Ryvn’s technical architecture, product roadmap, and engineering culture. What You’ll Do * Build at scale: Design, build, and maintain highly available systems that orchestrate software deployment across hundreds of production environments * Shape the foundation: Work directly with the founding team to define Ryvn’s technical direction and architecture * Solve and streamline: Identify inefficiencies and design elegant solutions — with the autonomy to ship fast and keep our technology ahead of the curve * Own complex systems: Debug performance issues across distributed systems, from backend services to production infrastructure * Balance tradeoffs: Navigate engineering decisions thoughtfully — balancing short-term velocity with long-term scalability and impact What We’re Looking For * 3+ years of software development experience, ideally including time at a small, high-growth company * Full-stack fluency: Comfortable working across web frameworks, APIs, and databases in multiple programming languages * Strong technical judgment: Able to make pragmatic, well-reasoned tradeoffs to drive projects forward * Ownership mindset: You take initiative, see problems through, and care deeply about the systems you build Nice-to-haves * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure * Experience deploying and scaling Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker * Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, especially GitHub Actions * Experience building with Go, TypeScript, and React * Comfort working with Postgres and S3 * Experience using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or Mimir for observability * Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation Life at Ryvn * Fully in-person team in NYC * Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance * Unlimited PTO and sick leave * Annual professional development stipend * Company-paid lunch, dinner, and coffee * Annual retreats and team offsites Compensation Range: $160K - $220K

About the Role As a Product Engineer, you will be at the heart of our member experience, translating powerful AI capabilities into beautiful, intuitive, and reliable product features. * Build and ship delightful, AI-powered features across our web and mobile applications (React, React Native, TypeScript). * Partner with our AI team to integrate sophisticated LLM agents into seamless, conversational user interfaces. * Own features across our entire stack, from our Python/Postgres backend APIs to our modern frontend, ensuring a high-quality experience for tens of thousands of members. What You Will Do To give you a sense of the impact you'll have, here are some initial projects you could own: AI-Powered Triage: Craft the user interface for our AI Triage tool, guiding patients through a clear, conversational flow to help them find the right care setting. You'll be responsible for the full-stack implementation that saves members time, money, and stress. * The Infinitely Patient Care Partner: Build the front-end experience for our AI care partner, handling real-time streaming responses to create a chat interface that feels truly human and supportive. You'll turn a powerful LLM into a trusted companion for our members. * Proactive Health Engine: Develop the full-stack systems for our Proactive Health Engine, connecting AI-driven insights to members through personalized in-app notifications and interactive modules that encourage preventive care. What We’re Looking For This role is a great fit if you are a product-minded engineer who loves the craft of building and is excited to work with the latest AI technology. * A strong track record of shipping high-quality, full-stack consumer applications, with proficiency across our stack (Python, Postgres, TypeScript, and React/React Native). * Deep product intuition and a passion for user experience. You have led the development of 0-to-1 products in fast-paced environments, owning features from initial concept to happy users. * Excitement for integrating novel technologies, like LLMs, to build magical user experiences. You don't need to be an AI expert, but you're thrilled by the challenge of turning powerful APIs into intuitive and reliable products. * Fluency with modern engineering practices, including a high bar for code quality and the use of AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate your workflow.
