Job Description About Fight CRC Fight Colorectal Cancer (Fight CRC) is a national nonprofit dedicated to fighting colorectal cancer through advocacy, research, and support for patients, survivors, and families. Position Summary The Operations Intern provides hands-on administrative and operational support to Fight CRC’s day-to-day activities. Working collaboratively with the Office Coordinator and teams across the organization, this role assists with inventory, shipping, event preparation, office organization, and a variety of administrative projects. The Operations Intern provides additional capacity to support the organization’s operational needs while also taking on designated administrative assignments and projects from the HR/Operations Manager. This position provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in nonprofit operations and administration while developing skills in organization, communication, logistics, project support, and cross-functional collaboration. Because this position supports projects and priorities across the organization, dependability and follow-through are essential. The Operations Intern is expected to communicate proactively, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities while asking questions or seeking guidance when needed. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Shipping Support • Work alongside the Office Coordinator to pack and ship online store orders, educational and promotional materials, event materials, and other organizational shipments., • Assist with preparing, labeling, organizing, and staging materials for shipment., • Assist with inventory counts and updating inventory records., • Receive and organize incoming shipments and supplies., • Help maintain organized merchandise, event materials, storage areas, and inventory., • Communicate low inventory, discrepancies, damaged materials, or other concerns to the Office Coordinator and HR/Operations Manager. Event & Conference Support • Assist the Office Coordinator and other team members with preparing, packing, labeling, and organizing materials for conferences, advocacy events, retreats, and community activities., • Assist with event supply checklists, material preparation, and other logistical needs., • Support preparation for organizational events, including the Ambassador Retreat, Strategic Planning Retreat, community gatherings, advocacy events, conferences, and other organizational activities., • Assist with event set-up, breakdown, and on-site logistical needs when applicable., • Complete event-related administrative assignments as needed. Office & Administrative Support • Help maintain organized office, shipping, storage, and shared work areas., • Assist with organizing and restocking office supplies., • Support routine mailings, document preparation, filing, scanning, and electronic file organization., • Assist with data entry, spreadsheet updates, and record maintenance., • Prepare packets, labels, materials, and other documents as requested., • Assist with scheduling, research, data collection, and other administrative activities as assigned., • Provide administrative support for special projects led by the HR/Operations Manager., • Assist other departments with approved administrative projects and organizational needs. Volunteer & Community Support • Assist with preparing materials and supplies for volunteers., • Help support on-site activities when Fight CRC hosts meetings, events, or community activities at the office., • Assist with preparation for career fairs, local events, community outreach opportunities, and other organizational activities., • Provide administrative and logistical support for volunteer activities as assigned. General Operations Support • Work collaboratively with the Office Coordinator on shared operational activities when additional support is needed., • Maintain clear communication regarding assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities., • Take responsibility for completing individually assigned projects and administrative tasks., • Identify questions, concerns, or operational issues and communicate them to the appropriate team member., • Provide dependable and timely support to departments across the organization, following through on commitments and proactively communicating when questions, competing priorities, or circumstances could affect a deadline., • Support additional administrative and operational projects as assigned by the HR/Operations Manager. Qualifications • Current college student interested in gaining experience in nonprofit operations, business administration, human resources, logistics, or a related field., • High level of dependability, accountability, and follow-through, with a commitment to completing assigned responsibilities accurately and on time., • Consistent and reliable attendance and on-site availability during the established internship schedule., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and ask questions when clarification is needed., • Strong communication and teamwork skills., • Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities., • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar workplace technology., • Willingness to perform both administrative and hands-on operational tasks., • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with moving materials as needed., • Reliable transportation required, with the ability to transport event materials and supplies as needed. Classification: Part-Time, Hourly, Temporary Internship** Internship Term: August 2026 through December 2026 Compensation: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, with the specific schedule established based on organizational needs and the intern’s academic schedule Work Location: On-site availability required **Based on performance and organizational needs, there may be an opportunity to continue the internship through the Spring 2027 semester. Continued employment beyond the Fall 2026 internship term is not guaranteed.
