Job Description In a supervised and professional manner, the Maintenance Technician will deliver preventative, corrective, and general maintenance for Camelot's client. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing basic maintenance throughout buildings, including visual rounds and analysis of both the building exterior and interior to identify and report any deficiencies. The Maintenance Technician will also monitor and perform assigned tasks through an internal computerized work-order system and will be responsible for maintaining timesheets & updating the system daily in accordance with assignments. The Technician must also communicate promptly with company dispatcher, supervisor and/or manager regarding changes in work assignments and work schedules. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Replace light bulbs, ballast, water filters and perform other regular maintenance as needed., • Creating, updating, and maintain equipment listings, Excel spreadsheets & assigned work orders within the computerized work-order system, • Coordinate with team leader to prepare for meeting setups and provide assistance as needed., • Perform minor repairs to cubicle partitions, furniture, patch/paint, and other duties along with various tasks as assigned by supervisors., • Escort contractors and vendors as necessary while understanding the scope of work to update the work orders within the computerized system, • Inspect and maintain the infrastructure on the premises daily (electrical systems, kitchen refrigeration units, HVAC CRAC Units, UPS back-up batteries, etc.), report findings and coordinating repairs/maintenance with vendors when needed., • Perform basic building repairs, miscellaneous jobs and handyman work as needed., • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of light bulbs, water filters, table linens, and other basic supplies and order as needed., • Work independently or collaboratively with facilities team members., • Follows safety practices, and utilizes protective clothing and equipment as required by OSHA. Know the whereabouts of all emergency equipment (i.e., fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, shower stations, first aid supplies, AED units, etc.)., • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all safety and health standards, • Excellent organizational skills., • Strong attention to detail., • Ability to take initiative and learn new job scopes (when needed), • Professional and neat in appearance., • Reliable and responsive to customer requests., • Ability to follow through on commitments., • Customer/Team oriented, anticipating and responding proactively to the needs and concerns of others., • Takes personal responsibility for outcomes and makes decisions based on good judgment., • Great verbal and written communication skills., • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other construction trades., • Requires occasional availability of work after normal hours (at overtime pay rate)., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Ability to communicate and collaborate with vendors, co-workers and managers to complete tasks., • General computer knowledge – MS Windows, MS Word and MS Excel., • Pass all pre-employment screening., • 1-3 years of previous commercial maintenance work experience.Company DescriptionCamelot Services, Inc. incorporated in 2000 for the purpose of providing high quality, professional, property and facilities management to clients who want customized, cost-effective service.
