Job DescriptionDescription: The Licensed Practical Nurse performs general nursing duties with minimal supervision in a busy Pediatric practice. Assist Physician/PNP with diagnostic/treatment procedures in a clean, safe environment. Ensure efficient and rapid patient flow. Candidate must be proficient in performing vital signs, heights, weights, immunizations and other injections on patients from newborn to young adults. LPN/RN hires in addition to above duties would be responsible to triage incoming telephone calls and relaying medical information provided by the Physician/PNP staff. Full Time or Part Time Certified MA or LPN positions are available. Includes a variety of daytime, evening and weekend hours, including holidays. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for assisting physicians and nurse practitioners with patient care, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for triaging telephone calls, prioritizing and providing medical advice to patients per office protocol. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the Care Center services. Documents patient interactions in the electronic health system (EMR), per office policies and procedures. Conveys a positive image of Care Center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This list may include but is not limited to the following: • Fulfills patient care responsibilities, as assigned, which may include preparing patient charts for upcoming appointment and gather required forms/handouts, • Obtaining patient vitals, as appropriate for patient age, including heart rate and respiratory rate, • Collecting patient history and documenting collected information, • Obtaining and preparing specimen for testing in-house or outside lab, as directed by provider. Our practice has three locations and has both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Full-time consists of 4 days per week and 1 weekend per month. Part-time hours are negotiable.
