We are currently looking for a Vice President, Tax to join our team Compensation Expected Salary (NYC): $260,000-$340,000 USD What you can expect in this role: About the Company We are a publicly traded AI datacenter developer and operator powering the next generation of compute infrastructure across North America. With our core business transition and rapid expansion underway, significant capital investment, and a growing multistate footprint, we are building a worldclass tax function to support our scale, complexity, and public company obligations. The Opportunity We are seeking a Vice President, Tax to lead our tax strategy, operations, and governance across the United States and Canada. This executive will shape the tax vision for a capital intensive, high growth business and serve as a key advisor to senior leadership and the Board. The role is based in New York City and offers the opportunity to build and scale a modern tax organization in a dynamic AI infrastructure environment. What You'll Do • Lead the company's overall tax strategy, including planning, compliance, reporting, and risk management., • Oversee ASC 740 tax accounting, quarterly and annual tax provisions, and SEC related disclosures., • Direct all US federal, state, and local tax compliance, as well as Canadian corporate tax obligations., • Build and scale an internal tax team, reducing reliance on external advisors, bringing automation tools, and strengthening internal controls., • Advise the CFO, CEO, and Board Audit Committee on tax implications of strategic initiatives, capital deployment, and expansion., • Lead tax planning for datacenter development, site selection, energy incentives, and multistate operations., • Oversee global transfer pricing policies, documentation, and intercompany arrangements., • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, structuring, and integration., • Manage tax audits and regulatory interactions across multiple jurisdictions., • CPA, JD, or equivalent designation required; Master's in Taxation preferred., • 15+ years of progressive tax experience, including leadership roles in public companies or capital-intensive industries., • Deep expertise in US federal, state, and local taxation; strong understanding of Canadian tax rules., • Extensive experience with ASC 740, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance., • Strong background in transfer pricing, cross border structuring, and M&A., • Experience in Big Four public accounting is a significant asset., • Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior executives, and manage complex projects., • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen., • Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable in a fast paced environment., • Collaborative, influential, and able to lead through ambiguity.
