PR Intern / Runner — Uberliss x New York Fashion Week (Sept 2026) \n \n Backstage. All black. Seven shows in seven days. Fast feet required. \n \n Uberliss is the pro bond + keratin + color brand behind the hair at some of the sharpest shows on the Spring/Summer '27 calendar. This September our lead stylists are running the hair stations at Libertine, Grace Ling, Eckhaus Latta, AKNVAS, Sandy Liang, Show Pony and 6397. Our PR team, Dylan and Jordana, is running the press side of all seven. They need a runner: the person who makes sure the right kit, the right editor, and the right photo are in the right place at the right minute, so they can stay focused on the story. \n \n You won't be leading PR. You'll be the reason PR works. \n \n WHO YOU REPORT TO \n Dylan and Jordana, Uberliss PR. They set the plan, own the media relationships, and make every call. You execute, anticipate, and close loops. Coryn Finn (Director of PR & Celebrity Partnerships) oversees the slate. If you're ever unsure what to do: ask Dylan or Jordana, then move. \n \n WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO \n \n Before the shows (Sept 1–8) \n • Help Dylan and Jordana build the backstage-beauty media list: research bylines, pull contacts, tier editors the way they tell you to. Verify every name is actually covering hair this season. \n • Pull first drafts of the look-breakdown one-pagers for Jordana to edit: product names, sizes, order of application, straight from the stylist's notes. Learn what a bond builder and a keratin smoother do to a strand — you'll be handing product to editors who ask. \n • Pack and manifest the show kits with Dylan: count every brush, cape, sticker, mirror decal, bottle. Label boxes by show. Track what ships to which stylist and what stays as backup. Yes, this means counting brushes twice. \n • Print and cut: talking-points cards, station cards, credential lists, run-of-show sheets. Laminate what will get wet. \n • Confirm backstage credentials by name with each show producer; chase the ones that don't come back. \n \n Show week (Sept 9–15) — the runner job \n • First in. Arrive at load-in with the kit, before the hair team. Set stations: product label-out, station cards up, mirror decals on, tools laid out the way the lead stylist wants them. \n • Restock all day. When a bottle drops below a third, replace it before anyone asks. Backup kit on your shoulder, not in the car. \n • Runs. Coffee for the hair team at 6 a.m. Extra pins from the drugstore two blocks over. The forgotten cape from the hotel. The steamer that needs a new outlet. If it's needed backstage and it isn't there, you're already on the way. \n • Escort. When Dylan or Jordana bring an editor to the lead stylist, you've already cleared the path, cued the stylist, and have the right product in hand for the photo. When the interview ends, you log it (name, outlet, asks, contact) so the team never has to. \n • Shot list. Shadow the photographer with the list Dylan gives you: product in frame at the station, hands-in-hair, finished look, lead stylist portrait. Tick each off as it's captured. Flag anything missing before breakdown — there are no reshoots. \n • Credit-line check. Before doors, walk to the show's PR desk and confirm "Hair by _ for Uberliss" is in the show notes. Report back to Jordana. This is where credits quietly vanish; you're the last line. \n • Gifting. Hand out the stylist, model, and assistant gift kits Dylan assigns, log who got what, collect handles for follow-up. \n • Breakdown. Pack out every station, count the kit back against the manifest, note what's low for the next show, get it to the van or hotel. Last out. \n • Between shows: restock from backup inventory, re-print anything dirty or lost, prep tomorrow's boxes. Some days have two shows. Plan your route. \n \n After (Sept 16–22) \n • Press sweep under Jordana's direction: find every clip, log outlet, link, reach, and class in the tracker. \n • Draft thank-you notes for Dylan and Jordana to personalize and send. \n • Return, count, and store every piece of kit. Wear it with pride. \n • You don't sit for the show. Front-row seats are earned-media currency for editors and guests. If one opens day-of, it's released by Coryn, never assumed. You'll be backstage restocking for the finale anyway. \n • Zero personal posting from backstage. Nothing before the finale walks, nothing outside the embargo. You'll get your content later, properly credited. \n • You don't pitch, quote, or promise anything to press. Editors' questions go to Dylan, Jordana, or the lead stylist. Your speech is: "Let me get you Jordana." Then you get Jordana. \n • Uberliss is the only brand backstage. Not the collection, not sales numbers, not sister brands. \n \n WHO WE WANT \n • Current student or recent grad in PR, comms, fashion, event production, or beauty. Or a stylist's assistant, a salon front-desk pro, or anyone who has run backstage or a set and knows what "40 minutes to doors" feels like. \n • Fast, organized, cheerful under pressure. You keep a list, you close loops, you say "done" and it is. \n • Anticipates. You notice the bottle is low, the cord is short, the editor is waiting, before anyone says a word. \n • Writes clean, quick notes: a legible interview log at 7 p.m. after a 6 a.m. call is the job. \n • Strong enough to carry a kit box up a loading dock, calm enough to hand a lead stylist a brush mid-look without breaking their rhythm. \n • Based in NYC (or can be, Sept 1–22). Fully available Sept 9–15: early mornings, late nights, two-show days. Knows the subway; fine on a bike or in a cab with six boxes. \n • Bonus: hair-obsessed. COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE The total target cash compensation for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 USD base salary plus uncapped commission (approximately $500 per team signed). Compensation is based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. The compensation range may be adjusted in the future.
