Job DescriptionDescription: Since Christmas Mass in 1948, the Most Holy Trinity has been worshiped at our parish. Today, Holy Trinity is a vibrant bilingual parish in which God is worshiped with love and reverence, while our joyful community is constantly formed in the faith, and serves with charity all those who need to receive the love of God. Holy Trinity Parish is seeking a full-time Religious Education and Youth Coordinator to support our mission by overseeing all aspects of the parish’s Religious Education, Sacramental Preparation and Youth Ministry programs. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination • Design, implement, and continually evaluate the Religious Education and Youth curriculum as well as the Sacramental Preparation programs in accordance with Archdiocesan guidelines, with Pastor consultation, • Plan, fundraise, lead and coordinate annual youth retreats, • Be present during all program sessions to ensure safety, smooth operations, and compliance with parish and Archdiocesan Safe Environment standards., • Oversee youth group meetings (held on the first and last Fridays of each month) and young adult gatherings (third Thursday of each month)., • Observe classes to ensure fidelity to Catholic teaching., • Address and document student behavior or discipline issues; communicate directly with parents to resolve concerns., • Coordinate all liturgical and logistical aspects of First Communion and Confirmation Masses (e.g., sacristans, altar servers, musicians, sound technician, photographer, and presider)., • Teach OCIC classes for grades 3–12 and oversee Rites for those in the Catechumenate., • Continue to develop and expand the “Soldiers of Mary” program for fully initiated 3rd–8th grade students., • Identify and support students with special needs, providing individualized instruction or alternative class arrangements as necessary., • Ensure family and student engagement through parent meetings, orientation, parent classes. Family catechesis, including an orientation before classes begin., • Ensure all students meet the requirements for receiving their sacraments and consult with the Pastor regarding special situations., • Identify and support students with special needs, providing individualized instruction or alternative class arrangements as necessary, • Actively recruit, interview, and select qualified and well-formed catechists, classroom aides and mentor high school students. Provide ongoing support and formation throughout the year., • Facilitate an annual formation meeting for catechists and aides prior to the start of the program year, incorporating feedback to improve the program., • Oversee the registration process, ensuring forms are completed accurately and all data is correctly entered into parish records (with assistance from the office staff)., • Monitor class sizes and maintain accurate attendance records for classes and Mass participation., • Serve as the primary contact for parents and parishioners regarding youth and RE activities., • Prepare and send communications, including emails, newsletters, and event reminders., • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and program logistics throughout the year., • Maintain and inventory all materials (manuals, books, rosaries, activity books, etc.) for catechists and students., • Implement and enforce all Archdiocesan Safe Environment policies., • Maintain all required training and documentation for self, catechists, and volunteers. Requirements: • 3+ years experience in parish catechetical ministry, faith formation, or religious education coordination preferred, • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish), • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, • Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, parents, and children, • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and committed to living out the faith., • Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, and conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals., • Strong understanding of Catholic teachings, traditions, and catechetical methods., • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
