Coordinates media inquiries as well as public relations activities. Partners closely with department directors, program managers, and other agency leaders to facilitate increased presence in social media. JOB DUTIES: • Creates and executes yearly marketing and communications plan and schedule., • Identifies and creates content in the form of photos, notices, and updates for publication in newsletters and print material, on the website, in Powerpoint presentations, and in social media., • Prepares Executive Director e-newsletters, fundraising solicitations, and other communications., • Develops and implements key objectives and results that can measure reach and impact of communications and identifies areas of success and opportunities., • Engages with staff to develop key messaging, themes, style, target audience, and defines appropriate communication channels., • Ensures that department and program communications are in alignment and consistent with agency brand standards and communication strategies., • Updates website content and creates new pages and graphics based on existing templates., • Serves as photographer for everyday events to populate web, newsletters, and social media. For larger events, coordinates with contract photographers to ensure appropriate shots are secured., • Acts as primary liaison with diocese communications team to ensure cohesion and consistency of messaging., • Represents Executive Director at various internal and external meetings, as directed. Requirements: JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Experience with managing social media channels efficiently and successfully., • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field., • Experience with graphic design, layout, commercial photography, and video production. · Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, internet research, and comfort in working with computer systems · Ability to exercise good judgment, courtesy, and tact in dealing with the public and staff · Ability to handle confidential information with extreme professionalism. · Skilled at multitasking, meeting deadlines, and project management. · Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. · Ability to follow tasks through to completion. · Ability to shift priorities easily and work in a fast-paced environment. · Ability to work in office environment as well as attend community events when needed. · Passion for serving the community, displaying empathy, and respecting all people. · Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. · Ability to learn databases, and other systems, including Adobe Creative Suite, web publishing, and social media production. · Current driver’s license required. Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and provide own transportation.
