Job Description HSA and Florida Physician Group Role: Interventional Radiologist Location: Miami, South Florida Practice: HSA Florida Physician Group/North Shore Medical Center Position Overview HSA Florida Physician Group, a member of HSA Hospitals (Hospital Systems of America), is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our expanding interventional radiology program at the hospital in South Florida. The interventional radiology service provides advanced, minimally invasive, image-guided care to patients across multiple specialties. Key Responsibilities • Perform a full range of interventional radiology procedures (e.g., angiography, embolization, angioplasty and stent placement, drain insertions, biopsies, ablations) using appropriate image guidance., • Conduct pre‑procedure evaluations, including history, physical examination, review of imaging, and assessment of procedural risk., • Obtain informed consent and provide pre‑ and post‑procedure counseling to patients and families., • Interpret imaging studies relevant to interventional radiology and provide timely, accurate reports in the electronic medical record., • Manage periprocedural care, including moderate and/or deep sedation as credentialed, analgesia, and hemodynamic monitoring., • Participate in interventional radiology call coverage for emergencies (e.g., GI bleeding, trauma, stroke interventions per local scope)., • Collaborate with referring physicians, hospitalists, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists to develop and execute multidisciplinary care plans., • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and coding of procedures in accordance with hospital, corporate, and payer requirements., • Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, contrast-safety, and other relevant clinical protocols; participate in quality and performance‑improvement initiatives., • Provide teaching and supervision for residents, fellows, technologists, and other staff as applicable., • Comply with hospital bylaws, departmental policies, and professional practice regulations., • Perform other duties as requested in support of the interventional radiology service and broader radiology department. Qualifications & Skills • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution., • Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology fellowship, or integrated IR training., • Board eligible or board certified in Interventional Radiology (or Diagnostic Radiology with CAQ in IR, as applicable)., • Active and valid medical license (or eligibility) in the State of Florida., • Current DEA registration (or eligibility) as required., • Current BLS and ACLS certifications., • Demonstrated proficiency in a broad range of interventional radiology procedures appropriate to the institution's scope of practice., • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment., • Strong commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care in a high‑acuity setting.
