Job Description Job Title: AI Engineer Software Location: Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO Crossflow Technologies, Inc. is looking for an AI Engineer Software to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will possess a fundamental understanding of AI/ML principles, experience supporting AI/ML projects from conception to deployment, and strong communication skills. As an AI/ML Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting development of AI/ML products directly feeding the AI/ML strategy, communicating AI/ML concepts and results to both technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI-powered solutions. The selected individual must be able to work with little direct supervision, work as an integral member of a product delivery team, and meet time critical delivery schedules. Responsibilities include: • Support the full lifecycle of AI/ML projects, from problem definition and data collection to model development, deployment, and monitoring., • Support design, development, and implementation of AI/ML models and algorithms using appropriate tools and techniques., • Ensure the quality and accuracy of AI/ML models through rigorous testing and validation., • Support collaboration with software engineers and DevOps teams to deploy AI/ML models into production environments., • Support the AI/ML lead in monitoring the performance of AI/ML models in production and support the AI/ML lead identify areas for improvement., • Communicate AI/ML concepts and results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences., • Work in close coordination with multiple teams that will leverage AI/ML products., • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, or 0 years' experience with a Maters' Degree., • Familiarity in a variety of AI/ML techniques, including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning., • Experience with programming in Python, R, or other relevant languages., • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Keras., • Experience with Large Language Models/Generative AI and Prompt Engineering. Also, using LLM/GAI solutions for usage in human-machine teaming for Software Development., • Familiarity with Linux operating systems., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; including presentation skills., • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills., • Must be self-motivated, able to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment., • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application., • Ability for some limited travel (less than 10% time) to support program meetings. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in Engineering and Aerospace, • Familiarity with MLOps and deploying models at scale., • Familiarity with A/B testing and other methods for evaluating the performance of AI/ML models., • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP., • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools., • Experience working with sensitive data and adhering to data privacy regulations., • Experience in Modeling and Simulation, • Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and performance of missiles, • Knowledge of engineering modeling principles behind body motion, trajectory analysis, counter measures, debris, and signature modeling, • Background with missile system models, atmospheric dynamics, and performance, • Experience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer: Crossflow ensures that employment decisions and personnel actions are administered fairly, equitably, and in compliance with the federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing EEO and personnel management.
