Job DescriptionSous Chef Job Description Moro’s Kitchen is seeking a passionate and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a scratch kitchen environment, takes pride in craftsmanship, and works well under pressure during busy services. Responsibilities • Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, • Lead and support kitchen staff during prep and service, • Execute and maintain consistency across all menu items, • Follow recipes and preparation standards with precision, • Prepare scratch-made sauces, stocks, and pasta, • Assist with fish and meat butchery, • Help with inventory, and food cost control, • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards, • Contribute to daily and seasonal specials Qualifications, • Previous sous chef or strong line cook experience preferred, • Experience in a scratch cooking environment, • Ability to follow recipes and plating standards consistently, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen, • Knowledge of fresh pasta production, fish fabrication, and meat butchery preferred, • Strong work ethic, communication, and leadership skills, • Availability nights and weekends What We Offer, • Competitive pay based on experience, • Creative, chef-driven kitchen environment, • Opportunity for growth and advancement, • Employee dining discounts & meals
