A Service Manager (may also be called Employee Advocate) is the first point of contact for benefits questions, claims support, eligibility, and overall management of day to day service of clients in the 50+ market segment. The Service Manager is client-facing and works directly with employers and employees. The Service Manager partners with Account Managers, Client Success Managers, +One specialists, Producers and carrier / vendor partners to deliver an exceptional client experience. This is a hands-on, entry-level position. The ideal candidate will receive training and mentorship, and you'll build a strong foundation for a rewarding career in employee benefits. Work Performed Client Service & Execution • Manage onboarding and renewal tasks to include agency systems (e.g. EPIC, CRM, et al), document organization, and folder creation / updates., • Coordinate and execute open enrollment, including the preparation and review of benefit guides, SBC's, presentations and enrollment materials as well as any other enrollment support tools. Attend Virtual and In-person open enrollment meetings as required., • Act as a day-to-day contact for clients regarding eligibility issues, ID cards, benefits questions, and vendor escalations as applicable., • Submit plan updates and enrollment changes to carriers and benefits platforms and assist with post-renewal activities including but not limited to billing audits and feed/file reviews., • Assist with gathering and organizing plan data such as claims, contributions, and utilization to support renewal strategies and post renewal implementations., • Prepare client-facing reports, mid-year reviews, and meeting materials in collaboration with senior team members., • Support RFP processes by compiling data, coordinating carrier responses, and summarizing proposals., • Conduct benchmarking and plan comparisons using internal tools and industry data., • Collaborate with account managers / executives, consultants, and internal teams to meet client needs and deadlines., • Participate in internal meetings and client calls, contributing updates and documentation support., • Review and finalize client materials to ensure accuracy and consistency., • Remain informed of onboarding progress, strategic planning efforts and pre-renewal discussions., • Receive updates on enrollment meeting schedules and deployment of virtual tools or resources., • Stay current on compliance developments, regulatory changes and legal updates., • 1+ years of experience in employee benefits, brokerage, insurance carrier or HR/benefits administration, • Working knowledge of group benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability and voluntary benefits), • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through, • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a deadline-driven, client focused environment, • Active Life & Health Insurance License (required, or must obtain within 30 days of employment), • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Public Health, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • Experience with Applied / Epic, CRM systems, or benefits administration platforms., • Familiarity with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, PCORI, and RxDC reporting requirements., • Interest in or pursuit of industry certifications (CEBS, GBA, HIA) About Us Oakbridge Insurance Agency is a new kind of insurance and risk management agency with the mission to transform and elevate the way business is done in our industry.
