Requirements: Essential Functions: • Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases, • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles, • Perform procedures as necessary along with wound care management, • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results, • Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery, • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems, • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team, • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine Required: • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry, • Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, • Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress, • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care, • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities, • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations, • PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR database, • Ability to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future, • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds., • Ability to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time., • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies., • Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
