Job DescriptionQuality Assurance AnalystContract Duration: 7+ months Location: Remote (U.S. only; excluding Hawaii and Alaska) Travel: Up to 3 times per year to Springfield, IL Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Analyst (QA) to support a large-scale data warehouse project. This role ensures software quality and reliability through active participation in QA activities, including inspections, reviews, and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in backend/database/ETL testing, automation frameworks, and healthcare data systems. Key Responsibilities: • Participate in QA activities such as walk-throughs, inspections, reviews, and user group meetings., • Develop, prioritize, and execute test cases; report defects with defined severity and priority., • Perform regression testing following code changes., • Acquire deep system and application knowledge to enhance test quality and coverage., • Develop and implement automated tests using BDD and TestNG; execute tests using Selenium, Cucumber, and Java., • Implement quality engineering practices within a CI/CD pipeline, including version control and test management., • Conduct end-to-end testing including functional, integration, and regression testing., • Collaborate with scrum teams to groom user stories and develop acceptance criteria., • Document and review test results to ensure business and technical requirements are met., • Ensure compatibility with existing product features and interfaces., • Understand Bronze/Silver/Gold data architecture in platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse., • Use AI-based tools to create test data, auto-generate test cases, and conduct API testing with tools like Postman., • Employ generative AI for efficient testing, including generating test case requirements and user stories.Required Qualifications:, • 5+ years of experience in software testing., • 5+ years of experience as a backend/database/EDW/ETL tester., • 4+ years of strong SQL skills and experience with RDBMS (e.g., Teradata, SQL)., • 4+ years of experience in UI, smoke, end-to-end, and integration testing., • 4+ years of troubleshooting and debugging experience., • 4+ years of test design experience and use of test management tools., • Ability to travel to Springfield, IL up to three times per year.Preferred Qualifications:, • Experience with healthcare data (Medicaid, Medicare, commercial claims, EDI X12 transactions, HL7)., • Experience with DevOps and Informatica PowerCenter., • Familiarity with tools: Selenium with Java, Cucumber (BDD), SOAP UI, Postman, RestAssured, HP ALM, Jira, GitHub., • Experience in CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins)., • Experience with complex XML/JSON, EDI X12, and SQL transactions., • Knowledge of automation framework development and usage., • Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills., • Located within driving distance to Springfield, IL (preferred).
