Job Summary Responsible for fabricating metal parts according to blueprints and other technical specifications. Required to operate various machinery and tools to cut, punch, bend, and finish sheet metal components. Responsible for setup, programming, and operating CNC machines. Primary Job Duties • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and quantity of parts produced as well as equipment maintenance performed., • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine work requirements and material needs., • Use the press brake or CNC Turret press to bend and form sheet metal parts to precise angles and shapes according to blueprints and specifications may be required., • Prepare the surface of sheet metal parts by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections., • Welding and spot-welding functions may be required., • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines., • Produce prototypes of sheet metal parts., • Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the proper handling of materials and equipment.
