Lean Manufacturing concepts are incorporated into many of our processes to improve quality, reduce lead time, and keep costs low. We assemble printed circuit boards, cables, chassis, control panels, etc. found in DIT-MCO’s test systems. Fabricating our own electrical parts aids in quality control and enhances our ability to meet tight delivery schedules and customize your product. Job Summary Responsible for fabricating metal parts according to blueprints and other technical specifications. Required to operate various machinery and tools to cut, punch, bend, and finish sheet metal components. Responsible for setup, programming, and operating CNC machines. Primary Job Duties • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and quantity of parts produced as well as equipment maintenance performed., • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine work requirements and material needs., • Use the press brake or CNC Turret press to bend and form sheet metal parts to precise angles and shapes according to blueprints and specifications may be required., • Prepare the surface of sheet metal parts by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections., • Welding and spot-welding functions may be required., • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines., • Produce prototypes of sheet metal parts., • Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the proper handling of materials and equipment. Requirements: Education and Experience • Technical degree or one year of applicable experience, • US Citizen Skills • Strong interpersonal skills and team player., • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude., • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quantity and quality., • Must be able to work independently., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, quality, and efficiency., • Capable of following detailed written or verbal instructions., • Handle sensitive information discreetly and confidentially., • Self-motivated and can manage time and projects effectively., • Must know bend allowances and basic shop operations and safety., • Good or corrected vision and can distinguish colors., • Lifting, bending, walking, ability to sit or stand for long periods., • Mobility and full dexterity., • Capable of operating in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, working on multiple job functions, and dealing with stressful situations.
