We are expanding rapidly and seeking a Master Scheduler to bring precision, accountability, and operational discipline to our production environment. Position Overview The Master Production Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment across customer demand, materials availability, production capacity, and shop-floor execution systems. This individual will own every detail of what GTI produces—across materials, labor, equipment, and timelines—while balancing efficiency, cost, and delivery commitments. This role requires a highly analytical, detail-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environments and has experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, supply chain, and plant operations. Key Responsibilities Master Scheduling & Production Planning • Develop, publish, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand and internal capacity constraints., • Translate sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets into actionable production schedules., • Synchronize materials, labor, equipment, and MES/ERP data to support on-time delivery and minimize bottlenecks., • Conduct capacity analysis for labor, machines, and work centers across multiple production lines., • Model and forecast mid/long-term production requirements to support plant expansions or equipment investments., • Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to track real-time production data, machine utilization, and labor performance., • Integrate MES with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred, SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards acceptable) to maintain end-to-end visibility of orders, materials, and schedule execution., • Ensure schedule adherence by monitoring shop-floor performance through MES dashboards and reports., • Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure materials availability supports scheduled production., • Identify and resolve shortages, excesses, or disruptions by proactively re-prioritizing schedules., • Serve as the central communication hub for production priorities—working closely with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Plant Operations., • Lead weekly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) or production review meetings to align all stakeholders., • Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, production attainment, first-pass yield, inventory turns, and MES-driven efficiency metrics., • Drive schedule adherence and create mitigation plans for deviations., • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field., • 7+ years of experience in master scheduling, production planning, or supply chain in a high-volume manufacturing environment., • Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred, SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards acceptable)., • Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to manage shop-floor execution., • Solid understanding of capacity planning, materials requirements planning, and production workflows., • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, dashboards)., • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) or CSCP certification., • Experience integrating MES with ERP to improve real-time scheduling accuracy., • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and compliance requirements., • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints (TOC) principles., • Be the owner of scheduling and MES-driven production execution at a high-growth company impacting energy, defense, and infrastructure., • Competitive salary and benefits package., • Opportunity to work with cross-functional leaders and advanced MES/ERP systems., • Lead the planning discipline for a company that values speed, accountability, and operational excellence.

This role ensures timely arrival of materials and equipment, monitors job progress, provides updates to leadership through reports, images, and visual timelines, and identifies upcoming production steps to maintain workflow efficiency. Successes of the position are measured via the following key indicators: • Working safely and meeting all environmental standards of customer, OSHA, and employer, • Accuracy of production schedules and progress tracking, • Timely reporting of project status, completion percentages, and resource requirements, • Maintain detailed production schedules for all jobs, ensuring alignment with operational priorities, • Track progress of all jobs, including percentage completion, milestones, and expected timelines for completion, • Maintain databases of equipment and material arrivals, production resources, and job-specific details, • Prepare visual reports, dashboards, and graphics that summarize job status, upcoming steps, and potential bottlenecks, • Coordinate with project managers, engineering, and shop floor teams to optimize scheduling and resource allocation, • Communicate job progress and updates regularly to the VP of Operations, • Identify potential delays or issues and proactively recommend solutions to maintain production timelines, • Support demand forecasting and resource planning activities, • Coordination with procurement and inventory management to ensure performance to timelines, • Focus on cost efficiency and continuous improvement, • Ability to spend extended periods at a computer for scheduling and reporting, • Occasional walking through the production floor to assess job progress, • Standard office environment, • Standard manufacturing environment, • Various noise levels from operating machinery and equipment, • Moving equipment, machine parts and vehicles, • Fumes, dust, and mist, • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field preferred, • 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations minimum, • Strong knowledge of production scheduling systems and project management tools, • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, databases, and reporting/dashboard tools, • Experience with ERP tools, • Experience with reporting tools, i.e. Power BI, • Experience with project planning tools, i.e. Microsoft Project, • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency, • Proven ability to expedite production processes by identifying delays, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving timely execution to meet critical deadlines
