Job Description Position Purpose and Objectives This position works directly with the Auto Finance Specialist and is responsible for compiling, reviewing and verifying the accuracy of loan packages. The loan packages must be pre-audited to ensure we are in compliance and able to fund with accurate disclosures, fees, interest rate, LTV, etc. The candidate must have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and follow-up skills, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. The candidate must be able to consistently meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Experience with NADA, CARFAX, DocuSign, TXDOT, and CBR are a plus. Spanish speaker is a plus, but not required. Minimal education is a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum experience of 2 years in underwriting and/or funding analysis. Performs job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures., • Developing good communication with the Auto Finance Specialist to ensure that loans get funded efficiently and accurately., • Help to create efficient processes to maintain smooth loan closings. Auto Finance Coordinator handles a variety of functions and assists in the daily loan closing process of the Auto Finance Specialists loans. These functions include (but are not limited to): • Review, pre-audit and analyze closing document packages for accuracy and completeness to ensure minimal redraws and post-closing issues., • Ensure loans meet underwriting, policy, program and compliance guidelines., • Use comment system screens to document events to ensure management and staff can view and determine the status of a loan file., • Maintain closing pipeline assigned for daily closings and workload., • Answer questions regarding closing requirements from other staff, members or departments., • Strong time management skills to plan and organize a high loan volume and fast paced environment., • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail., • Must understand the relationship of the Sales and Service department goals and help to achieve those goals as needed on a regular basis., • Must be a team player and work constructively with fellow Auto Finance Specialists and other employees by using good communication skills to ensure loans are funded accurately and timely., • Follow-up to ensure timely receipt of missing and/or corrected information/documents., • Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with internal and external members and others over the phone or by electronic communication., • Ability to submit loan closing process improvements to help maintain a smooth and efficient closing process., • Complete any additional duties assigned by management. Knowledge of loan policies, procedures, and loan documents to perfect liens on loan collateral securing loans. The ability to operate Call Management System. Must effectively communicate via telephone with members and other individuals who contact Lending Services. Good communication skills, using courtesy and proper grammar, to discuss credit union’s policies and procedures. An ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of performance. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of experience in loan processing or funding analysis. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years or more of similar or related experience.
