TRIP Clinic Santa Monica at Psychedelic Science Institute Staff Psychotherapist (LMFT, LCSW, PsyD) 1.0 FTE, exempt- onsite M-F 40 hours per week (70%direct clinical/30% administrative) Salary: LMFT, LCSW: Up to $105,000 for masters level licensure, based on relevant experience PhD, PsyD: Up to $125,000 for doctoral level licensure, based on relevant experience About PSI Psychedelic Science Institute (PSI) is devoted to the application of psychedelic-assisted therapies for mental health and neurocognitive disorders. The PSI team is a unique multispecialty group of mental health, psychotherapy and neuroscience experts who over the last 9 years have collectively conducted multiple clinical trials of psychedelic medicines for conditions such as depression, anxiety, alcohol use disorder, and PTSD and conducted over 10,000 ketamine-assisted therapy sessions. Our Mission TRIP Clinics at Psychedelic Science Institute brings together clinicians, therapists, researchers, and community partners united by one mission: to advance safe and inclusive access to psychedelic medicine. Responsibilities • Conduct standardized clinical assessments for participants in psychedelic-assisted therapy and research protocols, including structured diagnostic interviews and outcome measures, i.e. MADRS, CGI, C-SSRS, CAPS, PCL, GAD, ACEs, etc., • Develop clear and effective treatment plans with strong case conceptualization and intervention strategies., • Provide psychotherapeutic support and education in accordance with evidence-based psychotherapy and clinical trial protocols., • Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy using a trauma-informed, transpersonal approach., • Maintain treatment rooms in a clean, professional, and hygienic manner for shared team use., • Assess and manage risk factors and client crises in accordance with California law, mandated reporting requirements, and ethical standards for psychotherapists., • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment and leadership teams as needed to support client/participant safety, adverse events, and relevant clinical data., • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including intake assessments, informed consents, treatment plans and session notes, per all regulatory requirements., • Participate in monthly chart audits and reviews., • Assist in the development and implementation of new clinical programs, including psychedelic-assisted therapy services, clinical research projects and internal trainings, in collaboration with the Clinical Director and staff., • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GCP, HIPAA and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements regarding client records and protected health information (PHI)., • Attend and actively participate in supervision, staff meetings, and required training sessions., • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Position Requirements • Active California license as a psychotherapist (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist) with at least 5 years of experience assessing, diagnosing and treating adult mental health conditions, including PTSD, depression and anxiety., • Experience with psychedelic-assisted therapy or clinical trial protocols is preferred; prior ketamine-assisted psychotherapy experience is highly desirable., • Completion of recognized psychedelic-assisted therapy practicum or training program (e.g., CIIS, Fluence, Naropa, MAPS or equivalent) preferred., • Obtain and maintain all necessary training and certifications, including GCP, HIPAA and all protocol specific requirements., • Adherence to SOPs, safety reporting, and project or protocol fidelity standards., • Exceptional bedside manner with a strong client-centered, empathetic approach to care., • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment., • Skilled in conducting psychological evaluations and diagnosing mental health disorders with confidence and accuracy., • Familiarity with non-ordinary states of consciousness and their relevance to clinical practice., • Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented working style.
