    Looking for a friendly, outgoing, reliable person to help run local promotional events around Westchester County, Queens, and Brooklyn. The work is simple. We set up a small table in a busy spot, hand out free Gatorade and Celsius energy drinks, and promote a local home services business to people walking by. You'd help set up the table, hand out drinks, chat with passersby, and keep the setup organized. You'd start out working shifts alongside me. I'll set up the table with you and do the talking at first, and you can just copy what I do. The talking part is short, so training is quick and simple. If it's a good fit, there may be opportunities to run some setups on your own down the line. Where: college areas, outside gyms, busy commercial areas, and other approved public locations. When: Flexible. Most shifts are afternoons or evenings, and they're short, usually 30 minutes to 2 hours. Pay: $50-$75/hour depending on the shift, with a guaranteed $60 minimum for every shift, even the short ones. Paid same day via Venmo or Zelle. No sales experience needed.     Young Contemporary Art Gallery |Brooklyn Commission-Based | Flexible / Part-Time | Growth Opportunity A young storefront contemporary art gallery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is seeking an entrepreneurial Business Development & Art Sales Associate to help build the commercial side of the gallery. We have the gallery. We have the artists. We have the exhibitions and artwork. We need buyers. This is a sales and business-development position. Your primary responsibility will be identifying potential buyers, developing relationships, generating qualified leads, and ultimately helping sell artwork. What You’ll Do • Research and identify potential art buyers and commercial clients, • Make outbound calls and emails to qualified prospects, • Build relationships with interior designers, art consultants, architects, hotels, restaurants, developers, hospitality groups, offices, retailers and other businesses purchasing art, • Identify and develop prospective private collectors, • Follow up with qualified gallery visitors and sales inquiries, • Maintain an organized database/CRM of prospects and conversations, • Send artwork information, catalogs and pricing to interested buyers, • Schedule gallery appointments with qualified prospects, • Consistently follow up with leads, • Develop new B2B accounts and long-term client relationships, • Work directly with the Gallery Director to understand available artwork and identify appropriate buyers What This Role Is NOT This is not a curatorial position. You will not be responsible for: • Finding or recruiting artists, • Reviewing artist portfolios, • Selecting artwork, • Curating exhibitions, • Developing exhibition concepts, • Managing artist submissions, • Programming the gallery Those responsibilities remain with the Gallery Director. Your focus is the other side of the gallery: finding the people who buy the art. Who We’re Looking For You do not necessarily need traditional gallery experience. We are interested in someone who is: • Comfortable making outbound calls, • Persistent without being aggressive, • Personable and professional, • Organized with follow-up, • Comfortable speaking with business owners and design professionals, • Interested in contemporary art and photography, • Entrepreneurial, • Excited by building something at an early stage, • Motivated by sales and measurable results Experience in sales, business development, luxury retail, hospitality, interior design, real estate, art sales or client relations is especially valuable. Compensation This is an early-stage, commission-based opportunity. The gallery is currently in its startup/growth stage and cannot offer a traditional salary at this time. Compensation is tied directly to sales and accounts generated by the associate, with uncapped commission potential. We are looking for someone who understands the nature of joining a young business early and is interested in helping build its commercial operation. As the gallery grows and reaches sustainable revenue and/or secures additional financing, there may be an opportunity for this role to develop into a regular paid position with expanded responsibility. JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ Objective East Side House (ESH) provides high-quality, year-round programming in NYCHA community centers and public schools, serving youth and families through education, workforce readiness, recreation, and community engagement. Reporting to the Senior and/or Department Director, the Program Director oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division. This includes daily operations, staff management, compliance, and creating safe, inclusive, and responsive environments that promote positive outcomes. As a member of the Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division, the Program Director is expected to lead dynamic, age-appropriate programming for Elementary age participants and community members. This role includes direct supervision of the Assistant Program Director, Group Leaders, Activity Specialist, and other frontline staff. It requires regular collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, IT, and other East Side House departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Senior Director and /or Department Director, the Program Director will: • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of youth and adult programs, including evenings, weekends, and summer., • Recruit, hire, schedule, onboard, and supervise full-time and part-time staff., • Monitor performance and ensure compliance with DYCD goals, quality standards, and contractual requirements., • Conduct staff evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and lead monthly professional development and team meetings., • Oversee the design and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate programming focused on academics, recreation, workforce readiness, and cultural enrichment., • Ensure compliance with DOH School-Aged Child Care and Summer Day regulations, including quarterly inspections., • Train staff on safety protocols and ensure emergency preparedness., • Track attendance and maintain accurate records using DYCD Connect and internal systems., • Manage CACFP Food Program compliance and documentation., • Serve as the main point of contact for NYCHA, DYCD, schools, families, and community partners., • Build relationships with residents, tenant associations, youth councils, and community stakeholders., • Conduct quarterly community assessments and incorporate participant feedback into program planning., • Plan and execute four community events and a series of family workshops annually., • Cultivate at least three new partnerships each year to expand program offerings., • Manage the program budget, process purchase orders, and submit reports on time., • Represent the program in required meetings and maintain regular communication with NYCHA and DYCD., • Collaborate with ESH colleagues to coordinate events, share best practices, and support agency-wide initiatives., • Perform other duties as assigned.
