Job DescriptionDescription: Position Title: Therapeutic Radiation Therapist (TRT) Reports to: Operations Manager Employment Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Hourly Exempt Location: Seattle, WA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Position Summary Aldevra, LLC is seeking an experienced Therapeutic Radiation Therapist (TRT) to provide services at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System (Seattle VAMC). Services must adhere to all the policies and procedures; practice standards, guidelines, patient care operations; patient safety; quality assurance and quality management of radiotherapy planning, equipment, and delivery; and continuous quality improvement initiatives promulgated by the American College of Radiology, American Society for Radiation Oncology and American Association for Physicist in Medicine. This position is contingent upon contract award. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Patient Treatment and Scheduling: • Treat approximately 15-25 patients per day in the clinic., • Perform warm-up procedures, normal treatment operations, and emergency procedures on the Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, including Onboard Imaging operations and CBCT., • Perform daily warm-up procedures, noting approved parameters, and alert appropriate staff if anything falls outside of approved parameters., • Perform imaging techniques including MV, KV, CBCT, Electron, 3D Conformal, IMRT, and VMAT SRBT/SRS procedures., • Perform CT treatment planning scans for treatment planning/tumor localization., • Deliver the prescribed therapeutic radiation dose for cancer treatment., • Use Electronic Medical Record Systems (ARIA) to maintain patient records and files., • Assist patients to and from the treatment room and transfer them to and from the treatment table as necessary, using transfer aids., • Take port/verification films as per departmental procedures.
