This role is instrumental in responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) from a wide range of clients, including federal, state, and city agencies, as well as other procurement channels. The ideal candidate brings experience in marketing proposal writing and possesses familiarity with the unique requirements of public procurement processes. The Business Development Proposal Writer’s expertise is essential in crafting compelling proposals that showcase ASG’s capabilities and help secure new opportunities for the organization. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES • Draft and assemble proposals, presentations, and pitches, assisting the Sales team, including drafting project budgets and timelines, • Conduct thorough research to gather relevant data and insights for proposal development, • Compile and organize information from various sources to support proposal content, • Write clear, engaging, and persuasive proposals tailored to the needs of diverse clients, • Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with marketing strategies and objectives, • Assist the Sales team in identifying and qualifying new prospects with the use of Salesforce, • Coordinate with appropriate staff about required support and supplemental materials, • Convey the capabilities, background, and experience of ASG as it relates to RFPs, • Submit proposals within deadlines to the appropriate parties for approval including printing/mailing and uploading proposals to procurement sites, • Assist in developing standard assets and processes for submitting proposals, conducting finalist presentations, facilitating pitches, etc. coordinating with other internal departments, • Assist in fielding Potential Clients forms and inquiries, • Assist in maintaining Salesforce, PSOHub, and other internal software, • Assist in internal and client information calls by taking notes and scheduling follow-up calendar events, • Performs the contract archival process along with other sales documents, • Maintain a database to keep certifications up to date and/or assist in applying for new ones and tracking progress and expirations, proactively, • Provide support for other Business Development team projects as needed, • Interface and communicate in a collaborative manner at all levels of the organization, • Facilitate in drafting awarded contract and obtaining parties signatures, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience., • 4+ years of experience in sales coordination, ideally in a marketing agency or professional services setting., • 4+ years of experience in grant writing, proposal writing, or copywriting., • Internet access required, availability for occasional evenings during project peaks and company events., • Familiarity with CRMs, Government Bidding Portals, Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, Adobe InDesign, and Salesforce., • Strong writing, communication, and time management skills, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team., • Excellent organizational skills, research abilities, and attention to detail., • Adaptability to changing environments and effective multitasking., • Experience handling confidential matters with discretion., • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative., • Communication: must communicate complex information clearly and concisely, actively listens and engages in feedback loops to ensure understanding, and adapts communication style to diverse audiences to foster collaboration and alignment across teams, • Reliability: must consistently deliver high-quality results by managing tasks effectively, meeting deadlines, and proactively solving obstacles to ensure team objectives are met, • Quality Work: must consistently produce high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail, actively incorporating feedback to maintain alignment with quality standards, • Problem Solving & Decision Making: must demonstrate analytical and creative thinking to efficiently resolve issues, using data-driven and innovative approaches to develop solutions and make informed decisions by evaluating information and weighing risks and benefits, • Time Management: must efficiently prioritize and organize tasks to meet deadlines, balances multiple responsibilities, and uses tools and strategies to optimize productivity while managing stress professionally, • Cross-Functional Collaboration: must effectively collaborates with diverse teams to achieve shared objectives, integrate different perspectives, adapt to consensus, build productive relationships, and seek feedback to enhance outcomes and drive success ASG, established in 2013, is an integrated marketing agency that powers progress for corporations, nonprofits, government agencies, and the communities they serve.
