We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Helper to join our team of the best fire protection professionals in the industry. This position is based in our Dallas, TX location. • Primary duties - assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician., • May also assist with the service, repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems; under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician., • Interact with customers, contractors, vendors and other employees in a respectful, professional manner., • Must work safely, following OSHA and Firetrol safety policies and practices., • Accurately complete required daily paperwork., • Other duties as assigned., • Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of alarm systems or related equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided., • Able to work in a variety of businesses and institutions including commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, education and government facilities., • Must possess or be willing and able to obtain any applicable state licenses., • A current Driver’s License is preferred. Responsibilities: • Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned., • Performs routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner., • One-year maintenance experience., • Ability to be on call if needed., • Has a general understanding of systems including: plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance., • Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations., • Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours., • Ability to handle multiple priorities., • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication., • Competent in organizational and time management skills.
