Job DescriptionJob Title: Field Service Technician – Oil Containment Liner Systems Job Description This Field Service Technician role focuses on the installation, inspection, and repair of oil containment liner systems at various commercial sites. You will work with minimal supervision, using a range of hand and power tools, to deliver high-quality installations that strictly follow documented guidelines and safety standards. The position requires frequent travel and overnight stays, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret project drawings while maintaining clear communication with the project coordination team. Responsibilities • Read and interpret project drawings to plan, supervise, and perform installation of oil containment liners and related accessories., • Install oil containment liner systems in accordance with documented installation guidelines and project specifications., • Use hand and power tools, including hammers, tape measures, utility knives, framing squares, hand rollers, heat guns, and edging tools, to complete installation and repair tasks., • Work with materials such as vinyl, foam, aluminum, steel, and polymer to fabricate, fit, and secure liner systems and components., • Complete inspections of installed systems to verify quality, safety, and compliance with installation standards., • Conduct repairs on oil containment liners and accessories as needed to address defects, wear, or damage., • Communicate project progress, site conditions, equipment issues, and other relevant updates to the Site Services Coordinator in a timely and clear manner., • Enforce and adhere to written installation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all projects., • Prepare and submit timesheets, expense reports, and site installation reports accurately and on time., • Follow all health and safety standards, diligently applying safe work practices for yourself and others at all times., • Apply knowledge of commercial construction techniques, including plumbing, to support effective installation and integration of liner systems., • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to installations and equipment as they arise in the field., • Perform general construction and assembly tasks associated with the installation of oil containment liner systems., • Work overtime as needed to meet project schedules and deadlines., • Travel to job sites and stay overnight away from home as required, up to 100% of the time.Essential Skills, • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision while following detailed verbal and written instructions., • Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills, with an eye for quality and attention to detail., • Ability to read and understand project drawings and technical documentation., • Experience using hand and power tools such as hammers, tape measures, utility knives, framing squares, hand rollers, heat guns, and edging tools., • Background in construction, with experience in flat roofing liner installation or HVAC., • Thorough knowledge of commercial construction techniques, including basic plumbing., • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues in the field., • Reliable, self-starting, and hardworking approach to daily tasks and project work., • Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate work and report progress., • Commitment to following safe work practices and health and safety standards at all times., • Willingness and ability to travel and stay overnight away from home 100% of the time., • Ability to work overtime as required by project demands.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in service, assembly, or general labor roles within a construction or industrial environment., • Prior work with materials such as vinyl, foam, aluminum, steel, and polymer., • Demonstrated ability to enforce compliance with written guidelines and standards on site., • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the organization., • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues on site.Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a fully field-based role with travel required 100% of the time to a variety of commercial and industrial sites. You will work primarily outdoors or in active construction environments, often around mechanical and electrical equipment. The position involves regular use of hand and power tools, handling of materials such as vinyl, foam, aluminum, steel, and polymer, and performing physically active tasks including standing, bending, and lifting as part of installation and repair work. Work hours may extend beyond standard schedules, with overtime as needed to meet project deadlines. Safety procedures and personal protective equipment are an integral part of the daily work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
