Join a high-performing Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and deliver expert perioperative and post-op care in the Pacific Northwest.\n \n\nJob Details\n\n • Location: Seattle, WA 98122 — Seattle PACU RN, Washington nursing jobs\n, • Setting: Pre- and Post-Ambulatory Surgery (PACU), inpatient & outpatient\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026)\n, • Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (11:30 AM – 10:00 PM) — PACU day shift\n, • Hours per Week: 40\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1960–$2070\n, • Patient Population: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics\n, • Unit Size: 29 beds; daily census 10–15 patients\n, • Charting: Epic EMR (required)\n, • Scrubs: Provided\n\n\nKey Qualifications & Requirements\n\n, • Active RN license (compact licenses honored) — qualified Seattle nursing candidates encouraged to apply\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience (unit does not accept first-time travelers)\n, • Travel RN experience required\n, • BLS required; ACLS preferred\n, • Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR)\n, • Strong skills in pre-op and post-op care, ambulatory/outpatient and inpatient PACU nursing\n, • Competence in dysrhythmia recognition/management, medication administration including opioid analgesics and reversal agents\n, • Ability to float within the surgical services department and support pre-op as needed\n, • Preferred: prior experience in trauma Level II, community hospital, or pediatric PACU\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n, • Provide safe, high-quality pre- and post-operative nursing care for a broad surgical case mix: general, vascular, plastics, thoracic (no open heart), ENT, ophthalmology, OB-GYN, urology, orthopedics, and more\n, • Monitor and manage Phase II recovery patients to ensure safe discharge home for ambulatory surgery patients\n, • Perform pre-op assessments, patient education, and medication administration per protocol\n, • Recognize and treat cardiac dysrhythmias and other post-op complications\n, • Administer and monitor multimodal pain management therapies, including narcotics and reversal agents\n, • Collaborate with perioperative and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes\n, • Float as needed across surgical services (pre-op, PACU, post-op units)\n, • Document all assessments, treatments, and patient interactions accurately using Epic\n, • Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and facility safety standards\n\n\nWhy Join This Team\n\n, • Work in a vibrant Seattle location with easy access to Lake Washington, Capitol Hill, and a thriving arts and culinary scene\n, • Gain additional travel nursing experience and expand your perioperative skillset\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #464719.
