Internship Summary: The IT Intern will support the development and maintenance of enterprise data architecture by assisting in data inventory creation, flow design, and system integration. Responsibilities include evaluating data sources, applying basic statistical techniques, designing data models and flowcharts, and helping document architecture standards. The intern will also aid in performance testing and troubleshooting to enhance system reliability and scalability. The paid internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2026 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time. This is a hybrid role coming into the office twice a week and working remotely for three days. The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks. Housing will not be provided for the internship Responsibilities: • Collaborate with teams, departments, and management to devise an overall data strategy and architecture., • Build an inventory of data required to implement the architecture., • Design, develop, and deploy a plan for how data will flow through the enterprise., • Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability., • Apply sampling techniques to effectively determine and define ideal categories to be questioned., • Compare and analyze provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships, and problems., • Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts., • Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements., • Designate technical measurements of functionality, such as scalability, security, reliability, and performance., • Integrate new systems and data architectures into existing data structures and systems., • Design, develop, document, and deploy database development standards., • Design, develop, document, deploy and maintain a repository of all data architecture procedures.
