Job Description Job Title: Environmental Services Aide Job Description The Environmental Services Aide plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by delivering high-quality housekeeping and sanitation services. This position supports the overall operation of a wellness treatment center by ensuring all assigned areas meet established cleanliness and safety standards. Responsibilities • Maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment for patients, visitors, and associates through consistent housekeeping and sanitation practices., • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including furniture, fixtures, floors, and high-touch surfaces in accordance with departmental procedures., • Perform cleaning tasks in nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and other assigned spaces to ensure they remain orderly and hygienic., • Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum floors and surfaces in all designated areas to maintain a neat and presentable facility., • Follow standard procedures and protocols established by the Environmental Services Department for cleaning, disinfecting, and waste handling., • Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely and effectively to sanitize and maintain various types of surfaces., • Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and other consumables in restrooms and common areas as needed., • Support infection prevention efforts by adhering to proper sanitizing techniques and maintaining high standards of cleanliness., • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to provide courteous and responsive service., • Demonstrate reliability and accountability by maintaining good attendance and completing assigned tasks within expected timeframes., • Follow all safety guidelines and report any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness issues to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills • At least 1+ years of experience in cleaning and sanitizing environments such as hospitals, hotels, schools and universities, or office buildings., • Experience performing janitorial, housekeeping, custodial, or environmental services duties., • Ability to perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, and other general cleaning tasks., • Basic English speaking skills to understand instructions and communicate with staff and visitors., • Strong customer service skills to interact professionally and courteously with patients, visitors, and colleagues., • Demonstrated reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality., • Ability to follow standard cleaning procedures and safety protocols., • High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in a medical, wellness, or healthcare-related environment., • Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks and respond to service requests., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment., • Attention to detail to ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness and safety standards. The role involves regular use of cleaning chemicals, sanitizing agents, and standard janitorial equipment such as mops, brooms, and vacuums. The work requires standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Dress code typically includes appropriate custodial or housekeeping attire, with closed-toe footwear and any required protective equipment provided in accordance with safety and cleanliness standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA 90026. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
