Job Description Job Title: Metallurgical Chemist Job Description We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Chemist with strong expertise in ICP-OES techniques to join our laboratory team. This role supports both R&D and production quality control, focusing on the analytical testing of mineral concentrates, metals, and process solutions. Responsibilities • Perform elemental analysis using ICP-OES (Optima 8300 or equivalent)., • Prepare, digest, and analyze solid and liquid samples., • Support metallurgical process development, including work with leach solutions, concentrates, residues, and metals., • Conduct wet chemistry techniques such as titrations, gravimetric analysis, and acid/base digestion., • Calibrate and maintain ICP instruments, ensuring accuracy and data integrity., • Develop and validate new analytical methods for metals and alloys., • Interpret and report results to engineers, researchers, and management., • Maintain QA/QC-compliant laboratory records and follow EH&S standards., • Proficiency in Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry., • Experience with ICP-OES and wet chemistry., • Strong analytical and titration skills., • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry., • Hands-on ICP-OES experience., • Strong experience in wet chemistry and metallurgical analysis., • Detail-oriented with excellent data interpretation and reporting skills. This position operates within a lab/warehouse environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $28.85/hr.
