Job Description Palette Hotels is seeking a dynamic, results-driven General Manager to lead all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and Food & Beverage. This role is responsible for driving profitability, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences while fostering a high-performing team culture. The General Manager serves as the primary leader of the property, overseeing daily operations, financial performance, asset management, and team development, while acting as the key liaison with ownership and corporate leadership. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership • Oversee all hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Sales, and Food & Beverage., • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences and adherence to service standards., • Develop, implement, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments., • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and overall property condition., • Oversee all F&B operations, including restaurant, bar, banquet, and catering services., • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations., • Drive revenue growth through menu strategy, cost control, and operational efficiencies., • Monitor labor, food cost, and beverage cost to maintain profitability., • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans., • Drive revenue through yield management, market analysis, and pricing strategies., • Monitor and control expenses, payroll, and operating costs to achieve GOP and NOI targets., • Analyze financial reports, general ledgers, and variances, implementing corrective actions as needed., • Recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performing team members across all departments., • Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture., • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed., • Lead departmental meetings, training sessions, and ongoing development initiatives., • Champion a culture of hospitality, service excellence, and accountability., • Resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively., • Monitor guest satisfaction scores (e.g., surveys, reviews) and implement improvements., • Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to drive occupancy and ADR growth., • Analyze market trends, competitor rates, and local demand drivers., • Support group, corporate, and transient sales strategies., • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and capital improvement planning., • Ensure compliance with safety, fire, health, and sanitation regulations., • Maintain property standards and manage CAPEX projects., • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a General Manager or equivalent leadership role in hospitality., • Strong experience in full-service hotel operations, including Food & Beverage., • Proven success in P&L management, budgeting, and cost control., • Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-department teams., • Knowledge of revenue management systems (Opera, OnQ, MARSHA, etc.)., • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills., • Operational Excellence, • Financial Acumen, • Leadership & Team Development, • Guest-Centric Mindset, • Strategic Thinking, • Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment, • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods., • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed., • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
