Job Description Overview Quality Engineer / Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) Location: Perrysburg, OH Type: Contract (Approx. 3 months) Schedule: Monday–Friday | Hours may vary Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $50–$55/hour Level: Engineer Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer / Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support supplier quality initiatives and material quality performance for a short-term contract assignment in Perrysburg, OH. This role will work closely with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions, continuous improvement, and supplier development. This position is ideal for a hands-on quality professional who thrives in supplier-facing environments and brings strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities * Perform failure analysis and inspection techniques on supplier materials * Support supplier audits, assessments, and source inspections * Evaluate supplier approval status and determine the need for corrective action plans * Interface with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to address material quality issues * Initiate and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) * Support Supplier Quality Development initiatives * Drive process and continuous improvement efforts * Assess supplier processes and capabilities using Statistical Process Control (SPC) * Mentor suppliers to improve quality performance and meet customer requirements Qualifications Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field * Strong experience in Quality Engineering and/or Supplier Quality Engineering * Demonstrated knowledge of: * Quality Control & Quality Assurance * ISO 9001 standards * PPAP documentation * APQP * Control Plans & Flow Charts * Data Analysis & Supplier Management * Strong hands-on experience with: * Blueprint reading * GD&T * Precision measurement tools * Solid understanding of quality control standards and methodologies * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * High attention to detail with a results-driven mindset Additional Information * No overnight travel, per diem, or mileage reimbursement * Approximately 40 hours per week * On-site support required
