Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team, supporting both financial operations and high-impact reporting initiatives. This position is ideal for a finance specialist who combines strong accounting knowledge with advanced technical skills in Excel, Power Query, and Power BI. The role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen district-level financial visibility, improve reporting accuracy, and drive more efficient workflows. Responsibilities: • Manage financial reporting and accounting activities for a portfolio of school districts, including oversight of district-level profit and loss results., • Create and refine dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical models that provide clear insight into financial and operational performance., • Use advanced Excel, Power Query, and Power BI capabilities to extract, structure, and interpret large data sets from multiple sources., • Evaluate gross margin, sales, inventory, and district performance trends to support decision-making and highlight improvement opportunities., • Enhance and standardize a large library of existing Excel-based reports and workbooks to improve reliability, usability, and efficiency., • Partner with finance, audit, operations, and business leadership to deliver timely analysis and support key organizational priorities., • Contribute to point-of-sale optimization efforts by integrating external data, reconciling information, and building reporting solutions within the broader reporting environment., • Identify inefficiencies in current reporting processes and implement practical automation and process improvements that reduce manual effort.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline., • Demonstrated experience in accounting and financial analysis, including ownership of profit and loss reporting., • Advanced Excel expertise, with the ability to work across complex spreadsheets, formulas, and automated reporting tools., • Strong hands-on experience with Power Query and Power BI, including building reports and dashboards from the ground up., • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and translate findings into meaningful financial and operational insights., • Experience supporting reporting related to sales, gross margin, inventory, or sales and operations planning., • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance and operational teams.
