Job Description Growing company with multiple locations has an outstanding opportunity available for a National Account Manager. This is an onsite that requires minimal travel. Main functions: The National Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing, supporting, and growing strategic national retail accounts, with primary responsibility for Menards, Lowes, and other assigned retail partners. This role ensures customer satisfaction, drives sales growth, maintains retailer compliance, and coordinates cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver on operational, quality, and service commitments. The position requires strong relationship management, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex retail systems and requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary point of contact for retail accounts. • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key retail stakeholders, including merchant, inventory, sourcing, and compliance teams. • Manage and support all aspects of the retail business relationship, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company capabilities. • Analyze retailer reports and portals to develop forecasts and support supply chain planning. • Review, analyze, and interpret sales, inventory, and performance data to identify opportunities, risks, and corrective actions. • Drive sales growth through various order types, including consignment, direct-to-store (DTS), bulk distribution, special orders, and new projects. • Coordinate pricing strategies, annual rebate programs, and marketing initiatives with retail partners in the U.S. and Canada, as applicable. • Manage product setup, planogram updates, merchandising changes, and promotional activity in collaboration with the customer and internal teams. • Oversee EDI transactions, including purchase orders (POs), advanced shipment notices (ASNs), invoices, and return-to-vendor (RTV) requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Some travel may be required for periodic visits to retail partners’ headquarters and regional locations. • All other duties as assigned by manager. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of account management, project or program management, or sales experience, preferably in building products or related manufacturing industries. • Demonstrated experience managing large national or big-box retail accounts. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and operational data. • Proven ability to manage complex retailer systems, portals, and compliance requirements. • Experience with EDI processes, transaction types, and retailer compliance standards. • Ability to coordinate with IT and supply chain teams to ensure EDI accuracy and efficiency. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and capable of learning retailer-specific systems. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
