Job Description We are North Shore Medical Center Per Diem Nights 7pm-7am Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician-directed care and RN supervision. We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities. WHAT WE OFFER • An essential/stable and growing company with many opportunities for training and advancement within the medical field that all employees and team members (including Full-Time and Part-Time) can benefit from., • Hourly pay is negotiable based on experience., • Conducts Medical screens for all patients who are present for intake., • Review of labs and medical histories of patients in medical facilities to determine medical appropriateness for admission, • Complete risk assessment for AWOL, danger to others, sexual acting out behavior, and vulnerability., • Assess patients for self-harm/suicide risk and determine the level of care., • Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care., • Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients., • Assists patients with activities of daily living., • Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups., • Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly. Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication., • Constant standing and walking., • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs., • Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry., • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors., • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors., • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc., • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs., • Occasional lifting/moving of patients., • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Education & Requirements • Current Florida RN License, • Prefer 1 year of Behavioral Health RN, • Prefer 1 year of Supervisory RN responsibilities, • Ability to Communicate in English, • BLS required We are committed to creating: A safe and respectful work environment.
