Job Description The Boiler Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and optimization of boiler systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role focuses on preventative maintenance activities, early detection of potential issues, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Key Responsibilities • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on boiler systems, including inspections, cleaning, testing, and adjustments, • Monitor boiler performance and operating conditions; identify signs of wear, inefficiency, or potential failure, • Inspect burners, valves, controls, safety devices, piping, and related mechanical components, • Test and calibrate controls, gauges, and safety systems to ensure proper operation, • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation, • Respond to maintenance requests and assist with troubleshooting boiler-related issues, • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and contractors during repairs or upgrades, • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and safety standards, • Follow lockout/tagout, confined space, and other safety procedures at all times, • High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred), • Proven experience in boiler maintenance, HVAC, or industrial/mechanical systems, • Working knowledge of hot water boiler systems, • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems, • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, • Valid CA Driver License with a good driving record. Must sustain insurable status with company’s auto insurance carrier while employed., • Able to lift up to 50 lbs (as needed), • Annual Pay $53k to 63K, based on experience., • Core Work period is Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm + some OT.
